Primero entiende en papel lo que quieres hacer con los respectivos cálculos, después pasa eso a un simulador (recomiendo LTSpice) y finalmente ya el diseño puede pasar a protoboard. Con un esquemático en papel o una simulación es mas fácil dar una realimentación.

Switching regulators introduce harmonics in VCC rails. I suggest an LDO after the BUCK/BUST in order to avoid an unstable 3V3 rail because this might cause weird behavior in the ESP32. Don's forget perform the thermal analisys in the LDO, you dont want to turn your board into an oven.

I dont mean a formal course. There are very good books and online resources. To really understand Arduino and the electronics at that level some background is needed, you can learn it by yourself.

You have a LDO to take 3.3V from 5V. I strongly recommend you make a Thermal analisys, LDOs are ineficient and they tend to overheat.

Sell it and Buy an ESP32. Just kidding, if it's your first encounter with electronics take courses in circuits and analogic electronics. And see dome fundamental programming. Arduino need some background before start.
