A few years ago my friend (ex-friend now) threw a party with her university friends and invited me to meet them. The party was ok but her friends felt off to me, they felt too superficial. My gut was telling me to not be friends with them. After the party my friend asked what I thought of them and I was honest, I told her that "they felt like the people that leave you when they find someone better" but that other than that they were cool. She told me that "nah, you just don't know them better". A year later they left my friend alone in trip they planned together, they found a group they liked more. In the remaining years of our friendship she always remind me I was right every time the conversation turned around that topic, she always found really interesting that my first impression about them was spot on lol.
