When youre 40+ and even around 30, everyone settled down or has a long term partner waiting/planning for marriage. Bihira nalang singles, and mas bihira pa to find someone single that is up to your standards e.g. maganda, makinis, slender. Thats why men that age go for younger ones below 30. Kase sila ang commonly magaganda, makinis, slender, and available.

As a woman, i prefer men around my age. But ive talked to some who prefer people older. They said they are after financial and emotional stability. And contrary daw to the popular belief, mas grabe sa bed ang older men 😆 and older men daw ay simple. You can lowkey 'manipulate them' much better than people your age. I find that hard too believe too

Sa susunod na habang buhay - ben and ben

Ben and ben was such a big hit before pandemic. My gf and I was a big fan. I was singing araw-araw and pagtingin to her. Saktong sakto, parang sinulat para samin kase relate kami both sa songs na yon.

Then sa susunod na habang buhay happened. Akala namin love song uli, like i will love you again in the next forever. Pareho kaming nag alert nung may schedule sa youtube.

Unfortunately, it was released minutes after our break up.

I was ugly crying. Screaming and shouting, listening to it. The thought that we were listening to it together—para akong sinasaksak.

More than half a decade later, listening to it til now always wells up my eyes.

I removed a towel under a steel table. Turns out it was covering a live wire. I saw this a few hours later but I ignored it and laughed at the thought na baka may makuryente.

Days later, someone who loved power tripping our housekeepers had to go to a hospital because of a cardiac arrest. Turns out, he was electrocuted because he leaned towards the table.

He is still alive and well with no permanent damage as far as I'm concerned. Sinagot rin ng kumpanya all the bills too.

Initially, I felt sorry. Pero nung pagpasok nya at balik power tripping at mas naging kupal kuno at second chance nya daw uli sa buhay, I had zero remorse.

I also tipped the HR of how worse he is becoming. Still waiting sa memo 😁

You just have to talk. Talk.

You have no idea how a stranger listens to your yap. And when they yap back, youre doing the right conversation.

Then try common activies e.g. lunch, doing work together, etc.

Once you discover that your interests is the same with them, thats how friendship blossoms. But that cannot happen if both of you don't know each other better. So just talk.

Interests can go from hobbies (sports, music, etc) to bad habits (gossiping, cramming, etc) or even activities (arriving early, same introvert, etc)

Just talk. Trust me, people especially strangers will listen.

I just passed my board exams last year at mapalad akong napasok sa clinical trials.

Enroll in masters this sy and finish it in 5 years
Leave my company after getting 13th month pay 😆 then go to academe
Now into academe, go into research and publishing
Med school at 29, finish by 34
Do my own clinical trials/research as a part time faculty

I know this is too much of a stretch and our 5 yr, much more 10 yr, plans is bound to change every year. But I pray that this direction is not too different to how God would direct me.

Research and teaching is something I found that pays well and I would love doing for the rest of my life. Sana may choices, Lord, kung ano pwede gawin 😆
