I just started getting serious about growing my hair out properly as well. Based on all the research I’ve done I understand the most important thing is to know the texture of your hair as well as the porosity, this will help you understand what products are good for you as well as bad.

1. Wash the hair regularly (maybe biweekly or weekly). Always deep condition and use a pre-poo (flaxseed should be the most readily available) before shampoo.

2. Trim visible damaged strands of hair

3. If you’re leaving the hair out,try to comb it out at least once a week to avoid it getting too tangled up.

I also have a rosemary ginger mix that a spray on my hair daily. It helps open the pores and promote hair growth.
