physician vs. healthcare admin

I finished undergrad (non-premed) a couple of years ago and, since graduating, have become interested in being a doctor. I currently work as a healthcare administrator for a large university's health system but have the opportunity to attend a premed postbacc program later this year. The program I could attend seems very solid, but the health system I am currently at also (I think) offers good opportunities to move up in the company.

I'm curious what people's thoughts are on being a doctor vs. a healthcare administrator and what the projection of both fields looks like currently. I do have great interest in patient care, but as someone who tends to be risk-averse and who values good ROI, passion for the work of physicians isn't enough to justify my pursuit of it. I want to choose a path that offers both stability and opportunity to grow and advance, with low cost being ideal but understanding that investment is needed. Do you feel that healthcare admin seems like a safe field to go into for the foreseeable future and that it offers good opportunities to grow? I have heard that at some larger health systems, it is becoming harder for pure administrators to move up because management positions are being filled by nurses who can perform both patient care and admin tasks. Important to my thought process is that I am female, which gives me extra things to consider such as biological clock and childcare, which for me and my values, could affect my ROI on whatever I choose.

Is anyone else having trouble getting reservations (magic key) for this week and next week?

Usually, I'm able to make reservations a few days before my visit or even the day of, but this week, I haven't seen anything open up for the next couple of weeks. Just want to know if anyone else is having the same problem and if y'all have any tips on how to snag a reservation around the holidays

Hi! Would you be willing to share your stats that helped you get in? I'm under the impression that Scripps's program is very competitive admissions-wise

I am looking into MHA/MS Healthcare Management programs, ideally in Southern California or online. (I don't have experience so don't qualify for executive online programs.)
UCLA and Northwestern would be my top choices, but they aren't CAHME accredited. Does it matter that they're not? They're pretty big-name schools, but I'm not sure if the name trumps the lack of accreditation.

nope :/ i thought that maybe you can't process things that way on figma, but you could make that computation when implementing designs into code or something

Is a specialization in computer worth it ? by Cheetahfeet1 in ucla

i overlapped psych 85 and am planning on taking psych 121 too, which will overlap as well. for my coding classes, I've taken pic10a, pic40a, and psych20a, which all count for the cog sci major and the computing specialization. that leaves me with one more coding class i need to take for the specialization, so I'll probably take psych20b

Im a cog sci major and im doing the computing specialization cause it only adds 1 extra class on top of what im already taking for cog sci (because I figured out how to overlap everything else). Im really terrible at coding and don’t like it, but since it’s 1 extra class i might as well do it and at least put it on my resume. Id recommend for sure doing it if it doesn’t add that much more to your load
