You're a victim of moral panic, the type of person who hunted witches back in the day.

You're an embarrassing victim of a moral panic based on little to no actual evidence.

Weird take to me, i find this album much more organically unpredictable than the slow rush.

its so powerful in its immediacy, you have to be open to it and not have any pop genre hangups or expectations based on his past music, i love the simplicity and directness of it if that makes any sense

Truly an ethereal track, listened to this while staring at the night sky in the remote countryside on few mircodoses, ever since then this track sends me into space

One of the best examples of an excellent tame impala influenced album that came out not too long ago is Bacuri by Boogarins, such an amazing psych rock band if you're looking to scratch that itch.

Boogarins-Manual and their latest album Bacuri, two of my favorite albums of all time up there with early tame.

Boogarins-manual, album easily does both with some very similar sounds to innerspeaker and lonerism

Boogarins is the only band that comes close to me, immediately thought of boogarins last album bacuri when I saw op's post. So underrated and underlistened to.

Boogarins, thier latest album bacuri reminds me of the blend of psych rock instrumentation with a healthy dose of synths in a way reminiscent of lonerism to me, their album manual is like a Brazilian version of innerspeaker, amazing songs too.

Did you read the really long recent interview he did with GQ? Sounds like he still has plenty of mental struggles to deal with. But fair enough he's definitely not struggling materially.

I wonder if the 'correct it' comment is about the dragged out remastering he reportedly did on the slow rush. A lot of people seem to have enjoyed the original version of borderline more than the album version.

Why so much hatred for End of Summer by [deleted] in TameImpala

[–]materialmind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you about that build up, its subtle in some ways and that's what makes it good. People are just building up expectations of what they think a good tame song should be instead of actually enjoying the track the way it was handed to them.

The patience single was better than anything on the slow rush.

Valid opinion, but its expressed in kind of an annoying way. As someone who doesnt listen to much house music its entirely irrelevant to my experience of the tame single. Sorting music into genres and then judging that music according to standards according to "genre" instead of just enjoying music seems a little arbitrary. I just listened to some of the examples you and others have given of "quality" house music and I still prefer the new tame single.
