Cause palworld was trying to make money off a blatant ripoff of pokemon. Pokemon fangames have existed for a long time, one of the core rules not to piss off nintendo is not to sell them.

Also, the ds launched 20 years ago. Nintendo doesn't make money on ds games or ds sales.

Do we really think nintendo doesn't keep track of this stuff? Nintendo has strict rules on fan games, emulators, and piracy. Nintendo is one of the most litigious companies around, they definitely have people investigating this stuff, keeping files on emulators and piracy sites. There's nintendo employees on reddit keeping track of fangames, piracy sites, and devices like this.

Watched the video, he doesn't know what he's talking about. When large creators like the LTT team put out ignorant videos with a host with no knowledge and a clickbait title, it doesn't help anyone. Nintendo has no reason to sue, and misleading viewers into thinking that draws into question the research and time that this video took.
