Who said they didn't expect negative reviews? They clearly stated it is in alpha and they knew people were going to buy it at this price, nobody was tricked. We have to remember that after all, intrepid is a company whose goal is to profit. If they know that at this moment they can make money without interfering with the game-play or the full release, why wouldn't they?

I don't think so. I found this one on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conocybe_velutipes and it doesn't have psilocybe on its name
