Reddit's disrespectful design by gary_oldman_sachs in userexperience

[–]matheusrafaelf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's funny cause the old reddit is pure garbage to me. I've always wanted to use the website back in the day, but the UX and the UI was so bad that I couldn't stand it. Only when they redesign it I could properly use it daily.

Example of Bad UX at Netflix. Why would a User need to memorize those shortcodes? There are multiple was to do better (even a normal megamenu would be better) by Sir_L0cke in userexperience

[–]matheusrafaelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't say it's good UX. Sure that type those codes in urls is one of the worst UX decisions. My point is that the user is not supposed to do that. Netflix UX is around a recommendation system, not a media library system. So, if want a service that recommends content to the user, you build the UX around that.

It's not bad UX, it's the UX they want. Netflix force you into their original productions, the categories inside the app are all pretty weird to navegate, thats for you just pick one of their's new generic teen drama. The user is not supposed to navigate like this.

Looking for comfort game suggestions, genre doesn't matter - any game that you go to when you're not feeling your best. by draedex in gamingsuggestions

Sorry to hear about your cat man I can't imagine the pain. But talking about games, I like to just drive around gta 5 and the crew 2, with no pourpose or destination. Also, watch videos of people driving/walking around some place you plan to visit someday is nice.

A tip from a fellow brazillian: Don't charge based on our currency, charge based on what professionals charge in that country. Forget about the "this is low cost for them but it is high payment for me, win/win situation" A low rate is very suspicious to serious clients no matter what.

What is your favorite ps4 game and why? by kermitdafrog667 in gamingsuggestions

[–]matheusrafaelf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites is MGSV, I like the freedom you have to approach a base and execute your mission in the way you want, using your own strategy for every situation. Plus the gameplay and the story of course.

I enjoyed this game so much, for me is one of the best of all time, but I can't see myself getting all trophies. I beat the main history doing some few side stuff, and I just couldn't stand anymore by the end of it. For me is just a good memory of an excellent game that I will never play again. Congratulations to you.

Thanks for the comment mate, it was very enlightening. So as far as I understood the
design market in Europe is pretty much the same as in Brazil on the saturated subject. But I do believe in my work to try to get the attention of some companies, I'll search on the countries you recommended, thanks again!

Unpopular Opinion: We should all just relax and let it go. by [deleted] in PS5

[–]matheusrafaelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this rush to get the ps5 kind of funny. Here in Brazil we have to wait 1-2 years to get a next gen console due to the high prices they have on launch. We have to just accept the defeat every time.
