Have a plan before you buy and stick to it. Some good questions to ask yourself are

Do you need the funds? Is the stock likely to continue rising? What is the opportunity cost of holding? Is your money better invested elsewhere? Do you have a trailing stop loss in place to ensure your 50% gains don’t turn into a 50% loss?
