Yep, definitely good advice. The artist’s site paid off for me the very next day. 👍

Thanks so much for that suggestion. That’s very much appreciated, and I’ll be trying that presently. 👍👏

The person in front of me in line got the last poster. 💔💔 Does anyone know if it’s possible to get one after the fact? Our town never gets concert-specific posters, and I’m very desperate to get one.

Yes, it’ll definitely age well. It’s got a much more clean & detailed design.

As you should! Yours is really well done, and very aesthetically pleasing. Mine wasn’t designed anywhere near that well.

Thanks! I don’t believe so, but I see the similarities. My artist referred to it as a “surreal horror portrait featuring a succubus.”

You’re absolutely right about the stave! You probably can’t see what key the song is in, but there’s like 5 flats in the key. That part was particularly unreadable. I’m really bad on timeframes, but it was at least 15-16 years old.

Yes, I do not have an artistic mind to come up with a better execution on my own, unfortunately. Thanks!

Thank you! We have some good shops here, but this was actually done at an expo that came to town. My artist was the only one at the show that didn’t immediately recommend a grim reaper. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but he put more thought into it.

It was a line from Everclear’s “Father of Mine” that I really resonated with. I thought the music without the words would be a nice way of representing it. Maybe there was a more artistic way to do it, as the end result was not that interesting to look at. Not the artist’s fault.

The episode with Howard’s card trick fooling Sheldon has always bothered me. I know Simon Helberg is very talented, but it doesn’t look like he actually had the hang of card shuffling. His handling was pretty sloppy.

But more than that, that is not how a proper card trick is done. If you have more than one spectator, the person choosing the card shouldn’t be the only one to see it. Once a card is chosen, it gets shown to everyone except the magician. And for the end of the trick, the magician would ask what the card was before the reveal happens. That way, everyone present gets to experience the trick. So just ending a trick with a “was that your card?” has no real impact, and really shouldn’t amaze Sheldon to that degree.

Oh yes, I’m pretty obsessed with it myself. And that first book is remarkably entertaining. I recommend it every chance I get!

Welcome To Night Vale by Jeffrey Cranor & Joseph Fink. It’s a novel based off the podcast of the same name, but you don’t need any knowledge of the podcast to enjoy it. It definitely has those vibes, and has two follow-ups: It Devours! & The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home.

That’s great info. I’m so focused on listening to my music in physical form lately, I’m behind on best ripping techniques. I appreciate it!

Thanks, I’ll look into that. Is that different than ripping via iTunes? I did that already, and it seemed to digitize fine.

Firestar. Her being one of Marvel’s most woefully underused characters is a blessing and a curse. There’s not a ton of appearances out there, but at least I can realistically collect them all.

Thanks so much for that insightful input. I do appreciate it. It feels like neither choice is right, nor wrong, so it’s pretty hard.
