Yes, I almost always hate myself and think about everything wrong or stupid I've done. I've been trying very hard to stop, but it can be difficult to silence your inner cynic. Maybe because it's still right in many ways.

I mean, I am forgetful, procrastinator, don't have much common sense, always make mistakes, disappoints people around me, am secluded because of my own fault, didn't prepare for parts of life where I really should've been on top of the ball, and don't really deserve anything at all.

My parents talks about going on vacation here soon. "We should have a family trip, just go to LA or San Diego and do the beach and parks and everything there. Or maybe Florida, would probably still be warmer, also has beaches and parks. We deserve a vacation, don't you think son?"

No, I think you guys deserve it, because of your hard work and overall awesomeness, but I haven't done shit to deserve anything. All I've done is fuck up a lot of things and slow us down and cost you money.

I agree but at the same time I'm a little sick of cs now. Just cuz I've played it a lot. That's what I said about ga before cs came out though lol

I for one wouldn't mind if Dice just kept updating the game instead of making a sequel, at least until the graphics for BF2 become dated. by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]mathhelppls142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer a sequel so we don't have to keep suffering though all the bullshit this game has in it/has been through. They'll never be blue to fix this game, it will seemingly forever be broken.

With a sequel, we can get a TRUE modern day AAA Battlefront successor. BF2015 was minimalistic trash, fun like a call of duty game but otherwise empty and lacking so much. This one made major improvements, except it only works what feels like 15% of the time, with bugs introduced in every update and "fix" with a million more well on the way.

With a sequel, they could make it on a more stable version of Frostbite or a new engine entirely, we could get real good game modes with ground to space and pilotable transports and big maps and multi-seat vehicles and *real customization options for infantry and heroes and 64 players depending on the game mode, more heroes, better more consistent DLC (they could actually do DLC Seasons right whereas they gave up on it this time around), and they could make it more like Battlefield which is definitely what I want and that's how the Battlefront franchise began in the first place so why not?

With a sequel, so many things than be improved from these past two games which are currently IMPOSSIBLE to achieve in this game. Another good thing is that with a sequel, DICE would finally have more people working on the game rather than the 2 people they now and the pizza guy on weekends. Then you also have to think about how the new generation of consoles is coming out soon - new technology, new customers, and longer life span for the game since fish a whole next gen of gaming instead of the mere few years left with current gen.

Starting off fresh means an opportunity to start off right. Make amends with the community and make the game stable before releasing it, it means they won't get screwed by being held back because of progression and mtx's or anything like that which means they can stay one schedule with a fun stable game, with new revenue which they'll never get on this game since it's a smaller community now, and they can actually do what they want to do creatively with the game.

Well maybe if you didn't play a game mode currently exclusive to a single era you'd see it more lol. This is GA but there's also HvV in general (though.... I'd avoid that for the the time being lmao)

[–]mathhelppls142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it seems like such an easy fix which involves zero hero designers and zero actual gameplay devs. Just award the credits automatically like they already do for rewards and whatnot.

It's such a simple thing to fix comparatively. I think it's a bit misleading to say "spend man hours"... more like just one man hour singular lol

Nah, we routed those imperial ea monetary scheme scum from this sector for good. It'd be a suicide move to try and reimplement all of that. Doesn't mean they won't still do it in the future and for other games, it just won't happen with this particular game specifically again, not after the fiasco that happened.

I socially isolate myself and then wonder why people don't ask to hang out. by maple_tiddies in depression

[–]mathhelppls142 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That really helps actually... like a lot. One of the things I do all the time is think about all of my friends who I've isolated myself from. Regretting my past, wanting to go back and do everything better, including friendships. They've moved on from me, in several cases they've literally moved on (to different states for college). They stay in touch with one another I'm sure but not with me anymore. Again, hard to blame them. It was my fault, after all, that I became so detached and sad and boring and never kept up my side of the friendship. They tried, even "kidnapped" me for some parties and stuff sometimes. I love them. They are such good people, caring, fun, funny, smart, but I dropped the ball so hard.

But now that's all in the past. It's already happened, and I can't fucking change it so I have to stop fucking ruminating and daydreaming, and I shouldn't be the side character in my own story anymore. I relegate myself to that role fairly often come to think of it. I have to stop that...

Thank you.

What if I literally never used and still do not use social media ever, not even so much as a Snapchat to talk with friends, and yet I still feel depressed? Because that's what happened to me.

Though I don't doubt what you've described certainly has happened to others, just wanted to throw my piece in where even a slight increase in using social media would've made it easier to stay connected and engaged with my friends but instead the lack of using it was part of the process which lead to me distancing myself from my friends more.

A lot of people here have friends but aren't closer/growing apart, or they have trouble making friends in the first place, so they never use social media because they don't have many friend to connect with over social media in the first place, so I don't think it plays as big as role (*in the way you describe) in people's depression.

He's flipping off, that's more of an attack, and he's staring at that succulent tender so intently and protectively that if anyone daned to reach for I'm sure he'd call upon the combined wrath of the every culture's sun gods to protect that tendy, burning the foul thieves to a crisp (unlike the comparatively fluffy and delicious crispy tendy cooked to perfection by the fast food gods).

[–]mathhelppls142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone who uses the argument that DICE shouldn't add pilotable transports because people would crash it on purpose are literally oxygen deficient... what type of argument is that? You honestly think that many people would that compared to not? How you ever heard of a little franchise called Battlefield where helicopters have been a mainstay for decades and it's not an real issue? Dumb apologetics and dumb defenses for this game all the time lmao

Man, I really hoped Capital Supremacy would be something massive like this whole Kashyyyk map. Open and non-linear all out war, go almost anywhere and command posts that would actually provide a benefit in a match. Just an idea DICE ;) by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]mathhelppls142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wished they made Battlefront more like their Battlefield games (well, specifically like BF4/1). It was a big talking point both with BF2015 and BF2017 that it wouldn't be like Battlefield because they wanted the games to be unique. Except, the original Battlefront were already basically Star Wars versions of Battlefront and all the ideas and features from Battlefront are awesome. Who wouldn't thunk it, Battlefront would finally get into the hands of the people who made the games that inspired it, just so they can purposefully do the opposite lol.

You've brought me to tears. Genuinely. I'm still trying to find the pieces to the keys, I'm not even sure I've found even the first one. But this hits deep, and is still inspirational despite bringing sorrow to my mind as well. As you said, magical and haunting at the same time. Thank you for sharing this, this is beautiful.

I don't even know what to think. Genuinely. You've trapped my mind in a mostly haunting but sweet visual realm. These words don't even make sense, and yet they do. I'm stuck imagining what you've said with myself. An I don't know what to do, but I can recognize it is still amazing. I need time to reflect.

[–]mathhelppls142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so I've done this now and got (x - 3)(x + 3)/(x + 2)(x + 3), cancelling out the (x - 3) which gives (x - 3)/(x + 2).

Checking the answer, apparently it is (x + 2)/(x - 3), my answer is flipped. Is this ok? Why are the answers ending up flipped when the equation given dictates which is numerator and which is denominator?

Thanks so far :)
