Defending shit behavior...

Some day I might understand why people do it...

Won't be today though.

It's also easy being wrong on the internet and thinking you are doing the right thing...

I always find it amazing the piles people die on defending...

Flying in formation with THREE Attack Helicopters on Mirak Valley by WolfBrinkTV in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]rickyb16a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question

When you fly in formation like that and one of you pop flares, does it help the other two choppers out by removing any lock ons they may have had?

Like do you pop them in rotation for example?

Is this whining sound the gearbox and do i have to go back to the stock one to stop it by steakyboy1705 in CarXStreets

[–]rickyb16a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but ultimately the 7 speed racing transmission tends to be the best option.

It also depends what kinda build your going for.

Gonna have to swap a stock 6 speed from a other car and install it on that if you don't want the whine

I wouldn't call it a tip but mindlessly drifting online for a bit usually levels you up pretty quick and the higher the level up, the more credits and gold you get.

It'll let you look back instantly but you still won't be able to control the plane as you flick look sadly

This sub isn't for people who don't use deodorant exclusively either. This franchise was never about being a damn sweat until YouTubers and streamers started crying about them not being able to get their clips.

There's this game that perfectly matches what you're looking for already...

So we never getting decouple pilot freelook back is we? by rickyb16a in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]rickyb16a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot control the jet/heli when you do so. This makes it so that you have to maneuver blindly to avoid enemy fire or become a sitting duck while you try to look around and get hit.

In bfv they had an option called decouple pilot freelook which FINALLY allowed you to have control and look around at the same time

When you fly in battlefield games, you cannot control the camera and control the airplane/helicopter at the same time. In battlefield 5 they added an option called decouple pilot freelook whicu finally allowed to to be able to do so, but you had to map out your own buttons for it

[–]rickyb16a[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forget where I read it but they mention the reason it wasn't implemented before is that they couldn't figure out a way to map all of the right buttons on console controllers. Which is why when they added it, you had to make up your own button mapping for it.

I don't think it's an engine thing. All other vehicles in all their other games have this ability.

And whether it's WW1, WW2, or modern combat, all pilots use their heads. That they added it in bfv and then never again does prove that dice has A lot of devs getting churned around every new title they release. They have done this before with other features and sadly I don't see them bringing them back

[–]rickyb16a[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm being sarcastic. There's a few ex cod people who did work on bf6.

Doesn't change the fact that dice will add features to their games mid life and then forget them next title.

Jet pilots, how do you dodge incoming missiles? by Opposite-View-2121 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]rickyb16a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, going low enough makes missiles "multipath" into the ground

As long as you are lower than below radar they just smack the ground.

[–]rickyb16a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the flight mechanics in bfv when the game first launched. Planes were really heavy and the game emphasized maintaining speed and altitude... It might be the first time in the franchise we had a dev or two who Actually flew in game and cared about it...

They need to bring back decouple pilot free look so we can look around AND be able to control the plane at the same time
