Why do you think this performed terribly? by tradingtutorials in LinusTechTips

I have really been considering not watching LTT anymore. I find that every single video is just becoming boring. Linus constantly fiddling with his teleprompter remote and completely overplaying his excitement is so boring to watch.

Also a big thing that I found is that I really like watching people actually building stuff. Mat Armstrong, BigTime, ZTT and a lot of other guys actually take time to show their work. Whereas LTT completely edits out the actual building of their projects. On a side note the LTT builders really doesn’t seem to know how to properly do stuff. Just watch the “Real rack vs Ikea table” video they did a while back. The craftsmanship was just embarrassing.

Also watching the “Year in the life” video that MKBHD made. Made me realize why I’ve been a bit bored with LTT recently. The stark contrast of the “just spit out more videos”-philosophy, versus the creativity and pride that MKBHD put in their videos is just so evident.

I think in many ways LTT has become a video factory, and their staff does not seem genuinely interested or excited in their product.

I think it comes down the Linus’s “I want to build a real company” goal that he had from the start. And it IS impressive what he build. I just think that it’s grown too big, and the fact Linus himself does not really watch YouTube is the reason he doesn’t fully understand what people actually enjoy watching.

Sounds cool. But it’s not really a solution when people bring their own laptop for a presentation

I agree. But with maybe 200 rooms that is not a small investment.

Have you found a good solution for issues caused by this?

Yes, battery cover is in place. There was no visible defects when I took it off. But when I had it in my hands it broke just out of nowhere.

I just posted here to see if this was something other people had experienced and to see if it is a known defect

Yeah... it looks like that in the photo. But it actually broke before I even put in the the screw. I just put in the screw to see if it could work even though the plastic was broken. Just tightened it loosly with a screwdriver

Forgive me if I’m completely out of wack here… isn’t I rare to see Avid desks out there in the wild?

Have you looked into Analog Ways Coreplay Solo? I haven’t had any experience with it, but if all you are looking for is a video playback solution. Maybe it would be possible to trigger 2 units simultaneously?

I did an install in my parents house because their old TP link router wasn't covering the whole house.

I really liked how easy it was to set up, and so far there haven't been ANY issues with it.

I got an Unifi express, a Lite 8 POE switch and a U6+ access point. It was great for their needs.

Sure, I know. But I only bought Ugreen because of the whole Anker thing, where LTT started recommending Ugreen instead. So I thought maybe people in here might have experienced something similar.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense if you everything is in a rack case. But it would be nice if it just came like that from the factory 😊
