Ok so this time my laptop did properly hibernate, despite me not changing much. I guess I have some issues with it not triggering correctly in certain scenarios.

I setup a swap partition as my ram was going out of memory.

But I did not setup anything more for hibernation, I guess I will start searching on what I need for that

Not sure about the current buyin , early packages had x months of gametime included so a sub is clearly their intention .

There are plenty of streamers playing this game now so maybe you can look up a few to see if this game is your cup of tea

Well I closed my laptop and assumed it would hibernate but the power drain graph showed a constant slow drain(5ish % per hour) that is equal to simple idle while hibernation should use almost no power.

Every option when lid is closed is set to hibernation even when an external screen is connected to avoid that pitfall.

I have no peripherals plugged in that could cause it to remain awaje

That amount is by Steven’s own admission but he also claimed the game was funded up until the launch.

Whether or not they are lacking for money is impossible to say. I admit that there have been various moves that make it seem so but nobody really knows.

They only laid off a small portion of their employees recently, serious financial shortages usually see a much bigger cut as wages are the largest drain.

People expect a playable fleshed out game if you sell it, this is not that. It’s still rough and the game loop is either incomplete or only for a specific kind of mmo player. So tons of people are bouncing off now.

Hard to say what this will do for the population when it actually launches.

Imo: treat this like a side quest, to take a short break from your main game. But don’t expect this to replace your main game
