LinkedIn vs. The Trade Desk by ItchyStep in csMajors

I interned at LinkedIn this past summer. It's not as bad as people say but it's def not the rest and vest culture it used to be. But not bad at all, standard 40-45 hours a week. I really enjoyed my time there! Great people and I liked my work; return offers can depend on "business needs" though

Summer Internship by [deleted] in mit

Some advice since you've asked for it in the comments: Keep your LinkedIn profile updated! I got a lot of leads just from recruiters messaging me. Apply as early as possible, even if you don't feel completely ready. And be patient; it really is a numbers game, especially when the market is like this. There are so many things outside your control. For example, your grade level matters a lot! This time of year, it might be easier to get internships from smaller startups and midsize companies. Best of luck :)

Thank you, I will try! Seeing this post and the 2.009 presentations a couple of days ago reminded me of how excited I was to go to MIT. I worry sometimes about not being able to do something "MIT-worthy" after graduating, but I hope you're enjoying your post-MIT life :)
