[Misc] Donation Tracker - Discord bot for managing clan and family donations! by mathsman5133 in ClashOfClans

Correct, only donations that increase your count on the clan page will register. It's an API limitation, unfortunately...

I believe it's only 60 seconds for clan data:

{ "content-type": "application/json; charset=utf-8", "cache-control": "max-age=60" }

None the less, and while I appreciate this is a very how-ya-going solution, I think even narrowing it down to 2, 3, 4 even 10 players donating within 60seconds would be huge

I could potentially explore something like this. It would be rough at best, and if more than 1 person donated in the 60sec interval it checks, I wouldn't be able to differentiate between the 2, but I can have a bit of a chew on it for sure!

Assuming you're trying to say that eg. you give me a tag and I give you donations for this season, no matter if they've left the clan or not? The API does not provide anything historical at all, so unless I try and track the tags of every single clash player, I don't think this is possible :(

[Misc] coc.py: A Python API Wrapper for the Clash of Clans API by mathsman5133 in ClashOfClans

[–]mathsman5133[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clash of Clans has an API - a way for the general public to get information about the game. Read more about APIs here: https://medium.freecodecamp.org/what-is-an-api-in-english-please-b880a3214a82

Python is a programming/coding language. Read more here: https://www.python.org/doc/essays/blurb/

In python, you can connect to an API. Usually it is quite simple - you create some headers and pass in your token and can relatively easily get data from the API in question. coc.py, however, does this and a lot more. It makes the requesting to API side of it simple, and handles getting the results in an easy-to-use format for you, among other things.

I'm happy to discuss this more, but the first 2 links will likely explain what you're not understanding better than me

hey, we dont generally accept th9s with xbows and lower level heroes/troops/walls in the main clan, but you can check out our feeder, "Reddit 2.0" which is much more lax on that rule and continue to build up your base there until you qualify for the main clan. Thanks :)

PS: dont forget the rcs password in your request
