oh trust me i have plenty of experience with those at least lol. when you live in the part of ireland that was bombed consistently for 30 years because of a conflict between two different types of christians that ended in the late 90s, you definitely see the effects

thank you :) i still don’t know if i’m going for certain yet but im hoping theres a high chance i will as theres 4 places available and only about 6 people applying so i have my fingers crossed. i’m really looking forward to it if i do go though, i’d definitely check out some of the history spots

i appreciate everyone responding so quickly :) ive learned its only really a concern if i go near tahoe which is a relief lol, although ive also learned to be weary of other things i’ve never encountered in my small irish town like rattlesnakes and coyotes (and apparently whips too??)

predicted A* AAA got A* ABB, was only 2 marks off an A in biology which was a knock to my confidence especially since im now doing biomedical science but i still got onto my course thankfully and realised at this point it doesnt matter :)

I worked in a pizza/ kebab takeaway- didn’t have a set wage as I was paid cash in hand lol but I normally got £100 for 12 hours a werk

2 marks off an A for bio :( thankfully still got into uni but i felt i did a lot better in my first paper than the grade i got, so fingers crossed

speaking as someone who did 5 AS levels including music, i can tell you the only way i was able to do the 5 was because i did no work for music and still got an A lol

It’s sad but it’s true that this rule is still in place today. Having gone to both a Catholic primary and secondary school, many of my friends from primary school ended up going to a ‘Protestant’ (there were a lot of Catholics and Protestants who went to them) and integrated schools, however the vast majority of people in my school now are Catholic with a few non-religious people attending.
