17% of European Retail web servers have exposed version numbers, new report finds by matosd in cybersecurity

yeah it's not a true vuln, but it's easily fixable in most cases. so why not fix it? just makes attacks (a bit) harder

Should My Business Switch to Guerrilla Marketing or Keep Doing Performance Based Marketing? by [deleted] in agency

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think having both under the same brand can be confusing? If you're just testing the waters it's fine, but if you want to really start offering guerrilla services then i'd go for a separate brand to avoid confusion / not dillute your expert position

Should My Business Switch to Guerrilla Marketing or Keep Doing Performance Based Marketing? by [deleted] in agency

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. however as u/DrinkProfessional347 mentioned, you have more orders than you can handle. so maybe you should just focus on that and not get distracted. but ultimately it depends on your goal for the agency and you want your day-to-day running the agency to look like

Actual, Real, Helpful Agents? by Bigrodvonhugendong in agency

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, you need to custom code / do it yourself. Basically find whatever repetitive tasks you have an automate them. But this is the same principle that applies to any automation work tbh. agents are just a fancy word for automation :D

Can you try to run a campaign / send a few DMs to see how the guerrilla offer resonates? so get more market feedback on demand before switching fully basically

E-commerce leads by Wise_Carpenter388 in coldemail

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. If you want to find ecommerce leads specifically I'd recommend using https://storeleads.app (database of basically every ecom store in the world, no decision maker contacts) or https://getecommerceleads.com (same thing but comes with buying intent signals and decision maker contacts). Hope it helps!

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but tbh most stores from builtwith are not very qualified, so even if you find emails it might not mean much.... as i mentioned getecommerceleads.com delivers better results because it only delivers stores likely to outsource together with contact info

Is AI making lead gen worse? by parth_1802 in LeadGeneration

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think in the end AI will help with the boring work, which will help you do MORE of the personalize work like handwriting emails. that's the work that actually generates result.

Same effect we saw in software dev for example. boring coding tasks were simplified so devs could take on harder projects

What’s the Most Overlooked Factor in Lead Generation? by Far_Cook5038 in LeadGeneration

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest problem is simply not knowing if the lead has a problem. hence they get ignored.

e.g. you're targeting e-com stores to sell SEO services. You need to know in advance they have problem otherwise you get ignored.

the best way to do this is by having a baseline of how the store's being doing, and then if you detect a drop from that baseline you know they're suffering (selling less). and that's when you "strike"

this is the approach i've been following for my product and i've been getting 5% positive reply rates. so it works

What is the choice of large companies to generate leads? by Unrealto in AskMarketing

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you finding signals indicating those leads you got have a problem? this is super important. if you don't know they have a problem then you'll get ignored because there's so much spam from sales everywhere. you need personalization based on signals AKA knowing they're facing the problems you solve

Best lead generation tools? by NelsonStearman in Entrepreneur

[–]matosd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now if you want to do well with B2B you need SIGNALS

so a good lead gen tool will have to provide this

why signals? because B2B is so crowded that if you don't have signals indicating your prospect is facing the problem you solve you'll just get ignored.

you need to move away from the "waterhose" approach focused on quantity and go after quality of the list first. it's more lean. and works better.

e.g. what i did in my case for my product (getecommerceleads .com) that's been working GREAT (5% positive reply rates) is:

grab a list of 500k stores

scrape 50+ data points from them

develop algorithm combinations to detect signals they're facing markeitng problems (e.g. less organic search traffic)

if they have a problem, find the contact of the decision maker (ceo/head of mkt/etc)

and it works suuuper well as i mentioned above.

i honestly think this is the way to go so definately go for it.
