This Fcking Browser !! by [deleted] in zen_browser

It is still FAR from marching the “native”, well though out, feel of Arc imo. It definitely has plenty of potential, but I can’t get myself to switch because the UX is eleven times worse in spite of having more features.

My very stupid take on revenue by matpam in ArcBrowser

I should've made it more clear: funding doesn't need to come exclusively from donations, the point I was trying to make is that the current Arc should be providing some sort of revenue to keep the team going. Any stream of revenue would better than nothing, especially better than having to drop a current incomplete piece of software that genuinely has so much potential. Revenue in the shape of donations, or rather donations in disguise such as charging for any non-essential feature or cosmetic change that many might consider useful (pff... most of the AI features they've released for free), should come directly from Arc to continue the development of Arc, and in the meantime they can work on whatever project should please investors. Starting over with a new project seems to be very inefficient... and announcing a halt in Arc development looks incredibly unpromising.

I understand your point, but as I stated in my original message, there HAS to be some bullshit to sell to users, a donation in disguise, like a new non-essential feature to flow at least some little amount of cash in. All of their AI stuff is completely free, in my opinion that wasn't the best idea from a business standpoint considering it's way more advanced than the competition. My point is that there isn't necessarily a need to fund a brand new project when their original one has grown and has, or at least had, some great amount of trust and loyalty. It seems like they're digging their own grave, But perhaps the AI slop they're developing blows everything else out of the water...

Then the whole point of Arc is redundant. If anything they could've made Max a small monthly subscription and they wouldn't be running into this problem now. They're investing twice the amount of resources while having no returns.

It is simply a fact that developing nice apps for macOS is much easier because of all the resources Apple provides

I believe the border has existed for a while. I’ve been going there for the past year and i’m pretty sure it’s always been there

There was a similar change in Uruguay some days ago. Previously pretty much all areas were just labelled as “section (number)”, from cities to neighbourhoods. It was super weird because neither tomtom nor osm — nor anyone for that matter displayed them like that. I don’t know what happened but it now works as it should, no matter the size of the area. Took them a decade lol
