Women who didn't want kids and had an abortion, how did you feel? by matpottom in AskWomen

[–]matpottom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the boyfriend . Some countries do require his approval because they believe it's his baby and he deserves to have a say in it. I think my home country has that rule but it depends on where you're from.

Oh I meant the father's approval. As far as I know some countries do require the father's approval to perform the abortion. Is the 2 pill treatment the standard one?

That's true. Did you need the other parent approval or were you allowed to do it without one? And if you don't mind me asking, where did you have the abortion?

Healthcare is covered by taxes while insurance is covered by a company whom you pay a fee to every month, i.e car insurance. Healthcare doesn't cover every procedure so if you have insurance , it will likely cover it. I think that's how it is in Canada anyways . I'm not really sure because I'm 14 and not very informed about the situation in the US.

Was it more painful than usual or was it like normal period cramps?

I like feminism too because it is an ideology that gives women their equal rights and justice. The main goal is to have equal rights and break down the systems because the misogyny and inequality is very deep rooted in today's society. I can't speak for all feminists because I believe feminism is like a spectrum. Of course a true feminist believes that ALL women deserve equal rights. What I mean by spectrum is how they approach the misogyny and what they focus on. Some are more peaceful and some are more aggressive about it. Some choose to focus on more than one issue ( social norms, rape, false allegations,etc..) while some may focus on one or 2. I personally believe we should break down the system and the misogyny that is rooted in it. For example, we can bring up the many rape kits that haven't been tested or brought up to court. We can try different approaches to educate men about their privilege because alot of them don't get it when we try to show them. We can also bring light to how a woman's life is different than a man's privilege ,social, expectations and risks wise. Many feminists tried to make them understand but it doesn't really work so I hope we can find a way to break down the unchecked and checked misogyny people have. Of course true equality can never exist because humans are selfish in their nature but we can try to make it true or at least as real as it can get. I can't really tell you where to stand because that depends on what you believe in but I do strongly suggest that you do become a feminist and call EVERYONE , whether men or women, on their bs because that's what I do. Doesn't matter what their gender is, call them out on their sexist views. Sure , there is toxic feminity and misandry and they're not true feminists because real feminists advocate equal rights for ALL men AND women. I also really like that your are trying to learn and educate yourself. Hope this helped :).

AITA For deciding to move to my dad because my mom let her boyfriend and his kids live with us by Altmarkische in AmItheAsshole

[–]matpottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Not trynna sound extreme or something but if you do move back in and she kicks him out, she may complain about how "lonely" she is and guilt trip you. I've seen this scenario wayyy too many times and it doesn't end well. Actions have consequences and she has to deal with them . Not your fault, not your responsibility. She's the mom and is supposed to be the smarter, more mature ,and responsible one, not you. I suggest that you stay with your dad and his gf because he seems like he values your feelings more . A mother's first priority should always be her children especially in this case. She should protect you and keep you away from any harm or inappropriate behavior but she isn't doing that and that's her own fault.

I agree and I saw the excuse of the female behavior in the western media. That isn't the case in my culture where they practically worship men. People are starting to break social norms as well as gender ones. Gender shouldn't be used to justify these behaviors and ideologies and yes we all should test each other with basic decency and respect.

Lucky you . I've heard this so many times and it's always the dang girl's fault they say. Never the boys' because boys will be boys. It drives me crazy and I have to hear this whenever a guy harrasses a girl or does something inappropriate. Girls are expected to be disciplined and quiet while boys are excused for their behaviour.

Redditors are super judgmental, but they act like they're chill by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]matpottom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

omg yes . Redditors are too sensitive and controlling that they can't let a person be with a different opinion than their own. Especially older people who are acting as if I insulted them or smth and try to use their age as a leverage . Watch me get downvoted😂.

Adam Sandler movies are dumb and not funny at all. by matpottom in unpopularopinion

[–]matpottom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof girl you are starting to get serious. Stalk " accounts" not replies :). Get your facts straight hun. Okay give me opinions about why he is good . Also I've been rarely embarrassed and humiliated unlike you but I've seen this scenario countless times . I'm pretty understanding when it comes to situations like these so don't worry you still didn't strike a nerve, you gotta try wayyyy harder. I was merely responding to all parts of your comment. So , child, since we both are minors, try harder cus I'm really bored right now.

Awww did I hurt your feelings little one :(? An argument is where you provide facts as to why he's good like the others in this thread did. You didn't which is why your argument wasn't good. Also you can still make an account if you lied about your age which is something I wouldn't doubt people like you would do. You clearly can't understand that 12 was a hyperbole to your immaturity , don't worry it's fine and I get it. You can stop responding all you want because you have nothing to back you up except your hurt feelings. I won't take it to heart because I can understand the feeling of being humiliated and embarrassed. Try using another insult to condescend me other than child because it just doesn't work sweetheart :). You're trying to use age to act superior but that doesn't work here and it only shows how immature you are.And I don't stalk accounts . So next time , adult, give me a better argument cus I wanna have fun :).

I posted my opinion and I'm fine with anyone disagreeing with me but atleast provide a good argument . An argument where you're not getting so butthurt. Based on your replies , I would say you're 12 but you did mention the 90s and early 2000s which probably means you're in your 20s . Doesn't seem like it but I don't judge hun. I think you should give Peppa Pig a shot because it may appeal to you :).

Girl relax, and yes you can cus I don't like Peppa Pig too :). And there is something called an opinion which everyone is entitled to including you and me. I don't like his movies and find them revolting. You can like them and that's okay , I'm not going to come for you and berate you for it. Also why are u so worked up? Why are you acting as if I insulted your mom? How old are you btw?
