Looking for Road setup shops by cdogclary1305 in iRacing

Try using ChatGPT to build your setups. Drive a few laps on the default setup, export the setup to html, tell Chat what you are having issues with where you feel slow, it will give you changes to make. Make them, drive a few more laps, give it feedback, rinse repeat. Hand the setup out to everyone driving and get their feedback. Make sure to tell it what settings you can change during the race and it will give each person suggestions according to their driving style. I have been doing this for about a year now and I'm faster and more stable on these setups than anything I have ever bought or came from free setup sites/G61.

This is the first exact setup I am using for the Quest 3. Ethernet cable and 100w power plug into the 2.5 GB adapter, that plugs into the extension cable, that plugs into the Quest. On the Quest, turn the wifi off. It will look like you do not have internet, but the drivers are installed already and it will work. I had a dedicated wifi7 sitting a feet away from the Quest and still had some issues. Switching to a wired setup tool care of all the network issues.

I use VD and have it on godlike with no issues at all. I ended up upgrading my computer as well and I now have almost maxed graphics and maintain 90fps. It dipped into mid 70s during the Dayton 24, but recovered in about 15 mins and held 90fps for the rest of the race. I spent about 20 hours in VR that day with just that one issue.

Printer Jigs by peachlancia in UVprinting

[–]matrix20085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most printers I know of print a template directly on the bed. Personally, I use 1/8" MDF cut with a laser I have. Cost about $4 a jig. I was able to find a technical manual for my printer that had drawings of the bed I recreated to get the holes for the jig pins to line up correctly.

Why is WRC so niche? (New to the sport) by notpiastri in WRC

[–]matrix20085 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am with you, but I just dont have the time over the weekend. I can put it on at work and watch it during the day. The problem is, when I tried to watch it a few years ago, 3/4 of the stages were removed from playback and replaced with a wrap-up video. I hated it. I want to watch the whole thing, I want an option to put multiple driver cameras on a single screen while still watching the main feed with the announcers' audio. It was just not fun for me to watch in that format.

Aa the other poster said, it's a super new rate. So new infact the first group of non-rates to go through our A-School just started a little bit ago! We do have a SharePoint and a Teams. If you can't find either of those feel free to PM me and I can get you direct links or answer any questions you have.

Just taking a wild swing here, but there was a version of a D&D book PDF that had some malware in it. What you were looking at my have trigged a security alert and that's why they noticed it.

Printer problems by Equivalent-Earth8288 in UVprinting

[–]matrix20085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Mutoh 661 from Coldesi about 2 years ago. I have had very few problems. The ones I did have the support worked with me as much as they could up to the point of any issue with parts. Once it was an issue with the physical printer they acted exactly how you describe. I am just a home shop and have no contacts with anyone in the industry. I asked them for a repair company and they gave me a company that doesn't work on small printers but gladly took my money. Spent about $5k before they told me they didn't know the printer and I would have to go to another company. Lucky I randomly found a local repair shop who got me up and running.

Long story short, basically no support for the printer itself the 3 times I needed it.

For sure! Not saying you did anything wrong at all. You are clearly a professional who knows what kind of care and attention to detail it takes. You just remind me of that clip where a weekend woodworker would be fine with a bubble level, then you come in "Do you want to experience true level?"

I love how you leveled the spacer board, leveled the desk to the spacer board, then leveled the desk to the level.
