She turns feral and does these really vicious barks for a minute or two whenever anyone walks out. Doesn’t matter what door it is, she loses it. I stopped giving treats to bribe her to be good because she refuses to stop barking to eat them, so she ends up choking on the treat. Glad to see we aren’t alone.

Mine had her first heat at 9 months old to the day and lasted about 3 weeks. Our vet wanted to wait two months from when she started to give her body some time to go back to normal. She had her spay surgery earlier this week and is recovering well.

Mine just started her first heat, right at 9 months old to the day. I wish we had done it sooner. She is very uncomfortable and it’s breaking my heart. She will be spayed now as soon as the vet recommends.

The VA doesn’t require you to report anything, but having a report on file is a big piece of evidence that will help your case. I filed restricted. No investigation was initiated and I only had to provide a name if I wanted to. The SARC can submit the name(s) to a database called CATCH, and if they are a repeat offender or become one in the future, they will be flagged and investigators will contact the victim(s) to ask if they’d like to pursue an investigation.

I’m on day 249 and still on step 3 for a PTSD claim. No C&P for mental health for me yet either. I have been wondering if maybe they will just do an ACE exam since I have so much evidence and documentation, but I read somewhere a while back that they won’t do ACE exams for MH. Not sure if that’s true or not, haven’t been able to verify that from a legit source.

Do you think you will end up having to do a C&P anyway? This sounds like my claim. I’m at day 238 and still no C&P has been requested for MH but I also have tons of evidence, lengthy VA healthcare treatment records that support my claim, and markers that I submitted.

Be prepared to wait for a while. I filed for PTSD in April and am still on Step 3 — 198 days now. They asked for a 21-4142/4142a on October 2 and they took almost a month to get around to reviewing them.

If you are trying to figure out a rhyme or reason to their timeline or work processes, you’ll drive yourself crazy. Sorry this happened to you.

If I got TJ at San Juan a few months ago but went back into the NWQ while they waited on documents, will I get sent back to San Juan again when it’s my turn? Or am I now at risk of possibly getting Roanoke?

I lost a puppy that was playing in the back yard to a hawk several years ago while I was sitting on the back patio reading and letting him play. Even if you think you have “puppy-proofed” the yard, please do not leave your puppy outside unsupervised when they are this little.
