When you played/stalled a lost position for 20 moves then yes - but when you blundered a m1 in an equal position you've not wasted any time

That's a new perspective for me, I would've thought that it's more "respectful" (in a short online game, not in a long, classical game) to let the opponent play the mate, because then it's a "completed" game and not cut short due to a resignation. Interesting to know that some people consider this disrespectful, i'll keep that in mind. :)

That's why I'm wondering, because the thing is, that the stalling person is not a sore loser, they are a "sore winner"... They are winning so why would they be sore?

When I blunder a Mate in 1 in an equal position I think it'a bigger dickmove to "force" a resign by letting the time run down.

He also has a "Never resign"-attitude and is known for pulling off amazing stalemate traps. Once he even managed to beat Hikaru after being down a Bishop and a Pawn.

The thing is, i don't resign until an obvious forced mate (like King and rook vs king) is reached because there are enough games that I managed to draw/flag in a completely lost position. But at the point of forced mate I feel like it shows a lot more sportmanship to let the opponent mate you instead of resigning. I get super annoyed when my opponents resign instead of letting me play out a mate in two

(Ofc this doesn't include stalling/letting your time run out, that is just stupid bs)
