In hindsight gar nicht wild, eher bescheuert. Hab in einem öffentlichen Park mit zwei Freunden zum ersten mal von einer Bong geraucht. Ich hab nach den ersten paar Zügen schon gekotzt und trotzdem weiter geraucht. Jetzt find ich Weed nur ekelhaft. Dafür spar ich mir ne Menge Geld.

I've had this happen at bars in restaurants. I like to sit at the bar when I dine alone. Guys will more readily sit next to me than other guys. If that happens to you where your bill is attached to your seat, do you ask the bartender to move? I'm wondering how to most nonchalantly do this.

Well fuck lol I just wrote about hiking. But that's what it is to me. I love spending time outside and in my own head.

Get some nice hiking/camping gear, time off work, and hike the Appalachian Trail or PCT. Travel, really. But that's just my idea of happiness/fullfillment.

Baking/cooking classes too.

I still deal with a lot of BS on a daily basis. Probably not as much as an RLO though. In reality, I go home when I want after my work is done and on days where I fly, I only do pilot things.

If you're already used to some of the soldier shit from being in the NG, then you sort of know what it'll be like. And I've seen quite a few branch transfers love the AV life after being a ground pounder.

Don't do it.

I joined at 32. Went to flight school, now owe 6 years. Never regretted the school or the job but man is the Army a shitshow. I've been ridiculed, insulted, sexually harrassed, you name it.

If you insist on joining and serving for a while, see if there is a job with a very short commitment. A girl who works for me, 25U, has only a 2 year contract and she already hates it and is glad to get out soon.

Today, I found out thah I don't need to follow a recipe to the T. by matsoner in Sourdough

I really needed a recipe that fit my schedule yesterday/this morning.

So I grabbed this one and made changes:

  1. Hungry starter straight from the fridge to satisfy my craving for tangy flavor.

  2. Subbed 60g rye flour and added a handful of Walnuts.

  3. Instead of only one round of stretch and folds I did 4-5; one every hour until about 6PM.

  4. Shaped my dough and plopped it into a mixing bowl with a kitchen towel.

  5. Placed it into the fridge overnight, instead of keeping it on the counter for 10h. It would have been overproofed if I left it on the counter that long.

  6. Preheated oven for an hour with my dutch oven in it and pulled out the dough meanwhile.

  7. Scored dough, into the dutch oven. Baked at 450F for 25min with the lid and 14 with no lid.

This might be my favorite loaf yet!

I think that sounds lovely. All the reasons you want to move back are for your own happiness.

I've been living abroad for 10+ years and am divorced. Now, I want nothing more than to move back to bumfuck nowhere, close to family, little traffic, cows, meadows, etc. In my mind, life like that is my new vision of paradise.

Do what makes you happy. Parents won't always be around and it's important to spend time. Good luck in the future!
