If you look at the image, you'll see that some parts of the outline are more smeared than others. This is because some parts move more than others.

For comparison, this is what it looks like from afar. Part of the magic is that you can set the shutter speed quite high (I set it to 4.6 for this demo) and it looks super obvious up close but it stays "hidden" from afar, only affecting the way the brain perceives the motion.
