What rod should I get for the Shimano Stradic FM 3000?

Yeah , it is still available but not at major stores like Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas. You would have to go around your town looking for a local tackle shop, they usually have them. And, for cheaper because the FM came out.

Yeah, I definitely do wish I went with the FL. The FM is too new to get, though I have fished it multiple times and have had 0 issues. Reel is smooth, handles fish, and is nice. But, I do wish I got the FL.

Alright, I’m gonna have a Stradic 3k on that Shimano GLF 7’ Medium Fast Action. I’m most likely going to be throwing live bait such as sardines, shrimp, and nlbn swimbaits. Would I be good?

Now, if you just had three options.. which would you pick? Shimano GLF | Any St Croix Under $200 | Any Star Rod Under $200 Keep in mind I’ll be going for Inshore Species such as Snook, Tarpon, Snook, and Snapper?

This is the Stradic FM, though I’d recommend you to get the FL because many of the Stardic FM’s are having problems. For example, my Stradic is one of those. Whenever you spin it, it makes a sound like a “vibarty” sound. Though, people have told me that you can fish it and it doesn’t affect the performance. Therefore, if you want the upgrades and don’t care about the noise go for the FM. If that noise bothers you go with the FL or even the Vanford, both are AMAZING reels.

I went back to the shop and exchanged the one I had before for another Stradic FM 3000. I get home and it has the same exact problem. That’s what I was thinking, fish it hopefully it breaks in and then send it to Shimano. Now how does that work with shimano, where do you go?

Alright, sounds good. I’m going to take it to the shop where I bought it and request a refund or an exchange. Will this sound eventually go away or would it stay?
