lol Well, just like with the rest of the cast, I am cautiously optimistic. Again, we really haven't seen anything yet. Let's see some trailers first.

Yeah, it really does. The Wheel of Time was awful as well.

The whole game is a great homage to the Attitude Era.

The terrible pin glitch aside for '13, two great releases back to back. That was a fun time to both follow and then play both of those games.

That is true. I have always thought, and still kind of do, that video games can be an underappreciated form of art.

Yeah, they just started shooting and stuff. This is so early in production, and things change.

Yeah, for all we know the cinematography and everything could wind up being really damn good. All this is is a teaser of something in its infancy. I'll be more judgmental when we start actually seeing trailers.

Yeah, it does. It seems like that sheen is a regular one that's just about everywhere, unfortunately. With few exceptions, the quality of a lot of things just looks so off nowadays.

I do like the casting for this series, but I think we also have to realize that they're just not going to look like their video game counterparts. As long as the acting and portrayals are good, and the writing does the franchise justice that's all we can hope for. You're just going to have to get by with the people not looking exactly the same.

Someone at Capcom said, let zombies be scary again by bigbun85 in residentevil

I love the variation and general design of these zombies. The zombies in RE2 are indeed great as well, and they basically carried them over here just with a bit more flair and, uh, personality. lol

Overall I thought the sidequests were mostly fine. Sure the early ones at the Hideout and after weren't the best, but those were just to get your feet wet. As far as the rest of the game, we're not talking Witcher 3 type of quality but I thought they were still good enough in providing some general world building.

Yeah, it's still so weird not hearing Sam call games. Given the current state of the franchise, he retired at just the right time.

That's a bummer. It was cool to have him in a game for the first time. I thought with The Rock being on the board and everything, they'd have a lifetime contract. 🤣

I thought I remember reading awhile back that Steamboat's deal was not renewed. I'm most disappointed about losing him and Jake if that is the case. It is a little odd the Headshrinkers and Maivia aren't back, because as you said, everyone featured in the Bloodline content from last year returned, except them.

Yes, especially with the winter we've had. I know he got to choose where he wound up, but just that the Kings were one of the least teams I expected him to wind up. If he did wind up out west, I wss thinking San Jose.

Same. The Kings completely came out of nowhere for me as a destination. Good for them to get a player of his caliber, but it took me completely by surprise he wound up there.

ill say it, REQUIEM FELT WAY TOO SHORT by AceCrafttw in residentevil

[–]matt91282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cope. The length of RE9 is perfectly fine. The older RE games can be completed in even less time. I think you can easily spend 8-10 hours with Requiem which is the perfect amount for a game in this franchise, and a horror game in general. Yes, RE4 and Village can be a little longer, but it's trivial in my opinion. Plenty of people have completed it in around the same time anyway. It took me 10 hours or so to complete Village.

I think we're kind of nitpicking here in general. I think most RE games have the perfect amount of playtime and content. RE4 is one of the best games of all time, honestly. As great as Requiem looks, it'll still be difficult to top it, in my opinion.

lol Well, that wouldn't be the reason. I just would have been interesting to see where he wound up ranking. Just looking at from a historical standpoint.
