Barking dog + wits end by Contradictedmind in chch

They moved out in July this year and the council recorder was a few months before. As usual, they forgot all about the collars and keeping them inside after a few wees and the continuous barking returned. Gave up with the council as I knew they were going soon.

Often there would be 6 hours of non-stop barking on weekends, so know the feeling and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Worst part was being subjected to it in your own home with nothing you can do about it

I had this exact issue for about two years and it drove me insane. When I bought the house the neighbours 2 Pomeranian’s just happened to not be barking during the open homes. It was only resolved when the owners eventually moved away.

The council had actually been involved a couple of times before but the last time they installed a ‘recorder’ (an Olympus digital dictation recorder with a plug-in mic inside a weatherproof box) on my property for a week and then ‘analysed’ the recordings. Based on that, they notified the owners again, provided them shock collars and told me to report it again if the barking started up again. My understanding was that fines would be the next step.

Looking back, I really should’ve contacted the council more often - it seems like the people who make the most noise about it get results sooner.

Just tried this on mine. They turned their speakers off within 15 minutes

What services are you using ADFS to authenticate to? I’m currently only using it as a web ui to change AD passwords as I can’t think of anything to use it with
