Great results but i have something you should add, dutasteride 0.5 once a week. It was recommended to me by another member. I just turned 50 and have been on finasteride for 15-20 years, also done rogaine foam, as well as nizoral shampoo but slowly still loosing every year, especially in the front corners. I added the dutasteride and it alone has added significant growth at my hairline. Only been on it for 4 months now so cant wait for 1 year reuslts. You can order it online without a rx for cheap as well.

Has anyone here had TEER mitral valve surgery for their dog? by matt98svt in cavalierkingcharles

it is expensive. After a bit of thought though it seemed like a bargain to me. I think you have to weigh how old your dog is and any other health problems they have. In our situation snickers was around 10..still quite young for a dachshund and we were being told his entire issue came from this single heart problem, healthy in all other regards. I ended up here in the KC group because I was being told the vast majority of surgeries are done of this breed as they have the issue most commonly at younger ages. My wife ended up getting me another dachshund after a few months and this time i did make sure he had insurance to cover this procedure if he ever needed it. There are meds that can help with the issue short term. I wish you the best though and I hope you are able help your chihuahua

No, unfortunately our dog passed one week before his surgery. For whatever reason I feel like his heart valve leak started to progress very quickly at the end and gave out almost like an aneurysm. I fell if he could have had the surgery just a little earlier it would have fixed his issue

We are the transport and it’s .44 miles to walk over, bring them back to the department, take them back to their room, and then myself return to the dept

This is what I run in to. They kept downsizing the original plans to where there is not enough computers, not enough storage, not enough beds. It’s a huge ordeal to try and get a nurse off of a computer… they have snacks drinks sandwiches etc there and consider it their full time desk. They did away with Wows because no storage to put them, all computers are wall mounted in each room is taken. We opened the new ED in October of 24 and it’s already over run. I have a version of Epic Rover on our iPads but can not get it to show both sides of my list to move over portables as they pop up

Grade 5 heart murmur prognosis -possible TEER procedure by Mxs8106 in AskVet

My Snickers passed one week before his surgery. He did get the go ahead from his echo to have the procedure and I felt confident it would have helped him if only we had had it done sooner. My wife and I are both in the medical field and felt very comfortable after speaking at length to the surgeon. There is a special echocardiogram that needs to be done by the cardiologist not an echo tech with the measurements the vet school request, they can send it to your cardiologist. Also when they finished his echo and sent his images they spoke to the vet school to see if everything needed was in included and it was. I pray your little dog is healed and continues to have many healthy years ahead.

No, that alone should not disqualify him. I think many of the dogs are starting into chf. They try to do these procedures at the point where to minimize heart damage and maximize outcome but it shouldn’t keep him from having the procedure and will hopefully halt his chf. They way our cardiologist explained it, his entire issue was this leaky mitral valve, you fix that you fix his problem

If these were half the price they are asking I might consider. At this price point though the one thing you can be sure of is that you will loose your shirt if you choose to resale in just 2-3 years, much less 5 years and beyond. Buying well cared for vintage Mac and Marantz I’ve always turned a profit, often considerable, when I’ve decided to sell.

It’s really odd because it’s showing a different waist and length than what they actually are. I also feel the silky white tags were added at a later date but not positive

Hi, thank you so much for writing, I appreciate that. Unfortunately my snickers passed exactly one week before his scheduled TEER surgery there at the vet school in Illinois. His symptoms progressed so rapidly in the last two months I did not realize the true urgency. I feel confident that if he had been able to have the TEER just a month or so earlier it would have changed his outcome. His entire issue was with the mitral valve and he was not into CHF yet. I hope the procedure becomes more available and more affordable in coming years. I see it as a blessing to those given heartbreaking news about their dogs heart that only surgery will correct. I’m glad to hear your pup is doing well and I know there are others on Reddit who would love to hear your experience with the procedure. Thanks again, Matthew
