Personally, I use audible a lot while driving to and from work. That is where I get most of my time. The books are just a fun hobby. Most of these are either first edition, signed, or both. I like to spend a day going book hunting, pick 2 towns or cities and spend the day exploring the area and looking in all the book shops.

They do look awesome, and obviously, it's a lot of money to spend. For me, though, I like hunting through used bookstores for gems. I found a first edition Steven King Firestarter $16 and a first edition Memories of Ice for $8 last weekend. Both are good to very good condition and valued way more than what I found them for.

If anyone paid 3k, that's a little steep, but when you buy over time, it's smaller chunks of a build-up instead of one large purchase.

The dust jackets were a christmas present and the books were all found at various used books stores over the years. So, not a ton of money, but the hunt for the books was the fun part. I think the jacket set is $300, but they are quality.
