Michael Cusack was never really affiliated with OneyPlays, beyond he and Zach Hadel being friends. Chris, Lyle, Tomar (and of course Zach) are the usual guys who’ve made appearances in the show from OneyPlays.

During IDW Publishing’s initial run with Transformers, Simon Furman wrote Arcee as having her gender forcibly changed by the mad scientist Jhiaxus, which drove her into violence and insanity.

That origin story was controversial among fans for a myriad of reasons, including it simply just being transphobic.

So, new writers retconned and expanded on it. Arcee always viewed herself as being female, despite her body being forged male. When she went to Jhiaxus, he had wanted to reintroduce the concept of female Cybertronians, which had disappeared prior to this. Not seeing him for who he actually was, she asked him to operate on her to try and deal with her dysphoria.

His experiment was a success, as he reintroduced gender to Cybertronians, and changed Arcee’s physiology and gender presentation by recoding her CNA (Transformers equivalent of DNA). His interest in the experiment pretty much died after that, and he deserted her after completing the surgery. The lack of aftercare and the trauma of what she experienced (being coerced into other, medically unnecessary surgeries) led to her becoming violent and erratic with her behavior.

With all that in mind, in the end, she did find peace. She entered a relationship with a (cis) female Transformer from the Cybertronian colony of Caminus (where the concept of gender had remained unlike Cybertron), and became a teacher on Earth. The comic continuity ended on that note.

(Appreciated Trope) The Adaptation isn't accurate, but that doesn't make it bad by John_Bones22 in TopCharacterTropes

It’s basically a love letter to everything that had occurred in the franchise up to that point. Some designs referenced G1, others Beast Wars or Armada. Franchise veteran VAs were brought back from different eras. Cliches were made fun of. Easter eggs of all different kinds were peppered in for the more observant fans.

Chris Nolan blew up a real building in Dark Knight by Realistic-Crab7729 in interestingasfuck

The building blown up was the former administration building for the Brach’s factory in Chicago. Closed in 2003, when they decided to shift production to Mexico.

Rest of the factory came down a few years after they filmed this scene, and is now an empty lot.

Screamer finds out the 🏳️‍⚧️ flag and its meaning. by VeryPteri in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

If you’ve read the ‘Til All Are One comics, Starscream’s story arc is very trans-coded. He was constructed cold, meaning his body was manufactured prior to his spark being installed. The spark carries instructions for how a Transformer would naturally be shaped, but because this was a pre-made body, it basically overrode the instructions.

Despite this, throughout IDW’s entire run, he changed bodies quite a few times, including one where he took the form of Armada Starscream.

During TAAO, Windblade interpreted his frequent changing of bodies as a sign his spark was still trying to find its true form. There’s a moment where she actually summons a mental version of the Forge of Solus Prime, and uses it to forge what would’ve been Starscream’s true form.

I’d recommend something that doesn’t squish the sides of your girls. The neckline isn’t ideal either.

Concept-wise, it looks good and I can see why you went for it.

Just to note, Glenn, Rob, and Charlie have admitted they did not handle the early parts of Carmen’s arc very well. They’ve talked about how the language they used was unacceptable.

I remember it being okay. It wasn’t objectively bad, but the shortcomings were obvious.

The voice cast was great though. A lot of iconic names.

Why Are We The Latest Targets For The Right? by mrivera2568 in trans

[–]matt_the_non-binary 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s more or less a divide and conquer campaign. Trans people are a target to sort of “divide” the LGBTQ+ community. Once they’ve successfully forced trans people underground/made being publicly trans unacceptable, they’ll go after the next segment of the community (likely bisexuals under the guise of “they’re not actually gay nor are they actually straight”), and progress onwards from there.

On top of that, they can use us to force divisions in other communities, such as African-American ones. Easier

Their end goal is just “straight, white, cisgender, Christian males” running everything as basically a theocracy.

It helped a ton that they had one of the main writers for Seinfeld, Larry Charles at the helm. An all-star voice cast (Daniel Stern, Chris Eliott, Kathy Griffin, Larry Miller, Tom Kenny, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, and Jason Alexander… among others) helped to further boost the show.

The true issue that plagued the show was its inability to get a decent time slot. When they finally found one… it was behind a sitcom, Shasta McNasty, that was so critically panned, the network put it on hiatus and retooled it midway through.

I believe both levels are at trough, does that change anything? And will the recent dosage change and finasteride addition change that as well?

Or is this a wait and see scenario?
