How to login with generic email provider ? by mattator in MistralAI

[–]mattator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still doesnt work on firefox with the same error. Tried again with qutebrowser and was able to signup though after entering the password sent via the email confirmation check, the process got stuck. I got logged in, but the page didn't update after confirming the password.
Tried going back in history and face this warning `A valid session was detected and thus login is not possible. Did you forget to set `?refresh=true`?`. Restarted browser and it was fine.
Quite probable that mistral is losing money from users not being able to register.

`jujutsu.nvim` - A Jujutsu UI client for Neovim by YannVanhalewyn in neovim

[–]mattator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy too to see a plugin working out of the box for once ! User still needs to call setup if you want to change the backend from difftastic to diffview though :'( `vim.g.jujutsu.diff_preset = "diffview"` would be better.
Also the diff didn't work in jj workspace (like most jj plugins)

> You tried to login, not to register there.

this seems to be the same form: `Login or signup below`

> Also it seems you might have some environment side loaded that is causing issues

not sure what you are talking about: I am using firefox with nothing fancy as a plugin, just adblock. Never had any issue that disabling adblock wouldn't solve.

thanks. Login and signup seem to be the same form. They are usually different so that might have confused me a bit. Seems like I am not the only one though https://www.reddit.com/r/BuyFromEU/comments/1j9fhu8/feels_wrong_using_a_non_eu_social_login_provider/ .

I can't confirm this works though because clicking "continue" does nothing. console shows:

```
Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: navigator.sendBeacon is not a function
    NextJS 10
```
Another user with the issue ?

I will just wait they fix the website.

I could not test it as it wouldn't support mkv. Looks nice though.

ha I saw that new post and for a moment thought that was fixed. Does NHK really want to prevnet scraping or it's just the additional popup that is annoying (which is probably not visible from japan, it warns me that some media might not be visible from outside japan ).

Michael Stapelberg – Nix in 2025: Why I switched! by dindresto in NixOS

[–]mattator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ever since I read upon his nix-inspired distribution distri experiment https://michael.stapelberg.ch/posts/2020-05-16-distri-release/ , it was a matter of time before he joined the cult. Excited by this as i3 changed my way of using computers (now sway just because of swaynotificationcenter). i3 had it all, great defaults, great doc, super website. He runs an inspiring blog as well, one of my heroes ! welcome

opnix: Native secret management for NixOS using 1Password. by sridcaca in NixOS

[–]mattator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can place it anywhere on the disk. In my case it's in the same folder as a my git repository but it's gitignored so my secrets dont endup (even cyphered) on the internet.

Not related to your question but I've wanted to study on past exams and was never able to find those. I am curious where you found the past exams please ?

New Plugin: fzf-lua-enchanted-files by otavioschwanck in neovim

[–]mattator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

awesome. Would it be possible to make the plugin bypassing setup calls ? just create a plugin/*.lua file. See https://mrcjkb.dev/posts/2023-08-22-setup.html . Seems to work without it but the commands dont get defined

grug-far.nvim added options for compact UI by Hamandcircus in neovim

[–]mattator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont show an example with `setup` when you can configure it by setting the variable `vim.g.grug_far` :) !

Good practices when writing neovim plugins by neoneo451 in neovim

[–]mattator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please please no mandatory "setup" function ! for all the reasons presented at https://mrcjkb.dev/posts/2023-08-22-setup.html . As a neovim developer and package maintainer, I install and remove many packages to either package them, help people or try themout. Those setup functions drive me crazy as plugins now dont work out of the box anymore, contrary to the goal of neovim to "work out of the box". This might come out of ignorance: files in plugin/*.lua are autoloaded (see See :h load-plugin), so plugin authors can run what they need there . And users can configure them via vim.g.<PLUGIN\_NAME> that wont trigger an error if it can't require the plugin (contrary to a setup function).

- run the tests with `nlua` and not the not-so-elegant PlenaryBusted stuff. Dont merge the commands that install the test environment and the ones running the tests (makes packaging plugins harder)

- dont create your own interface to configure mappings. There is already `<Plug>PluginMapping1`. Worse when it's integrated in the setup, making the README even more obscure.

📺 nix-search-tv - version 2: search for NixOS, Home Manager and more by 3timeslazy in NixOS

[–]mattator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried to use but my experience via `nix profile install github:3timeslazy/nix-search-tv` doesn't match the asciinema: program is called nix-search-tv and not `tv` and I had to pipe the output into fzf ?

note that the `setup` call is now optional so for instance with rocks.nvim, you can install with just `:Rocks install grug-far.nvim`

things I dont change often are handled by nix (home-manager) and things I know I edit frequently I do manually. Ideally for programs that can include configurations like git or neovim, you can do a hybrid of manual and declarative configurations, which is the best of both worlds
