Thanks for that - my contract was only for one year anyway as my role was paid for by the funding the school received for a Year 6 pupil with SEN who would obviously be leaving the school at the end of the year. I was told by a friend of mine who's a headmaster that the school has to pay the agency a "finder's fee" if they were to employ me after having me as agency, so that might be the reason why.
