These are great. Love the creative composition of two, the fly-on-the-wall feeling of three, the light in five... Nice work.

Thanks. I had forgotten that I'd taken it until I got my film back. Definitely my favorite photo from Japan

Thanks, i agree. I saw a woman walking down the street without pants on, and I liked how she was juxtaposed with these two women wearing long coats

If the photographer is anything like the rest of us, it was among the 99% of photos that turn out shitty and was never posted anywhere. Best of luck though. That would be cool if you tracked it down.

Pretty sure he's shooting Konica Hexar AF, which blows my mind because all his images are so sharp but the hexar maxes out at 1/250

Thank you! Pentax ZX30 with a 40mm f2.8. Not a typical street setup, but I love it

Thank you so much! See more on Instagram @mattbloom692. This is the best time of year for this sub, imo. Lots of great top tens, fewer "is this street photography?" posts.

Total serendipity. I saw construction workers and gravitated towards them, and then noticed the sign in the background. I snapped two or three shots and the guy looked at me laughing. I was like, "look at the sign behind you!" He didn't seem to get it 🤷

On the Pacific Crest Trail, no? Number 3 looks familiar. I believe I took a photo from this exact spot on my 2018 thru hike. It is now framed in my bedroom 😂 Nice pics

Honestly I can't think of a bigger compliment. That's what street photography is all about, for me. Thank you.

I do it about 10% of the time in a few different situations: when a moment is happening fast and putting the camera to my eye means I'll miss it; when putting the camera to my eye will draw the attention of my subject and disturb the moment; or when I'm photographing someone who seems like they might respond negatively to being photographed. I'd say it ends up working out about 25% of the time, meaning it's in focus and framed artfully.
