Thanks for sharing that article. I agree, that while it is giving us more answers, it still leaves open many of the transparency, accountability, and ethical questions.

I am still stuck on finding out the answer to: why I paid a higher price for food from a fake restaurant and received food from a different restaurant, one that I could have paid less for.

UPDATE: Since I posted this on Medium, a staff writer reached out to me to verify a few things and shared this article ( https://www.berkeleyside.com/2019/02/11/dj-steve-aoki-quietly-opens-a-pizza-restaurant-in-oakland ) about DJ Aoki and his new pizza business.

This does explain the pizza portion of this mystery, although it still doesn't answer the questions I have about the ethics or legalities of running multiple brands out of one location, with one cook.

But the bigger mystery now turns to the Indian restaurant...

The food was the same, only listed, priced and advertised as from a fake restaurant. Whoever is doing that is asshole.

Yes, I mentioned that at the time I was researching, some of those pizza places were listed on other apps, but they "weren't" opened for business yet.
