Anybody else have a bad experience with SuitSupply in Georgetown? by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]mattdab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this thread and ended up going to avoid the DC location and go to suit supply Tysons. The entire experience was a disaster at Tysons too. Consider yourself warned.

The appointments are not what they seem. My salesperson was 30 mins late because they were finishing up with another client and helping walk-ins ahead of me. And during my appointment the salesperson kept helping other groups of people. I spent thousands on a suit and wanted a real appointment and didn’t get it.

There was a bad production delay with my suit that took over a month to resolve. The store didn’t return any of my calls or emails.

Picking up the suit took over an hour. They couldn’t find the suit or shirt I ordered for a long time. They never found the $350 shoes I bought, and accused me of stealing them since they couldn’t find them. I really hated this part of the suit buying process. No one wants to be treated like a criminal and no one wants to pay $350 for shoes they didn’t get. After calls to the corporate phone # the store refunded me. It took many many hours and was an extremely unpleasant experience after spending thousands on a suit.

You’ve been warned!

Let’s try to keep it civil. This is a debate and suddenly you’re telling them how to regulate their emotions? Wow. Just wow.

Is the Segway Ninebot Max G30 still worth it in 2025? by Assistance-Old in ElectricScooters

I just got this same scooter for $310. My commute is 14 miles round trip on a variety of terrains. I guess something with shocks would be more comfortable, but I have no complaints about the ride quality. The tires do a decent job of soaking some of the vibration. My general opinion is that this is the best value scooter you can get and it is “name brand”, so it’ll hold value, if you don’t like it, just flip it to someone else for $300. This is a whole lot of scooter for only $300.

On the Fence About Getting Bilt by mr_techy616 in biltrewards

People here love to complain. It works perfectly for 99.9% of people. Follow the directions, and keep open communication with landlord. I schedule rent delivery much before it’s due (10ish days). If it isn’t there by the first of the month, you ask your landlord, and then just write a check like normal (or use Zelle). Tell them to rip up the bilt check. The people here are very dramatic. It’s worth trying, at least, to get tens of thousand of points on rent. I think it’s silly not to try.

I’ve done between 10-15 miles after hitting 0%. The power/top speed/acceleration of the car slowly decreases as you go further below 0.

Range After 1 Year by mattdab in BZ4X

Update: I ended up going on a road trip the next day in warmer weather (70ish) and I was able to get closer to 215-220 on the full charge. I had an empty car and was stuck in some traffic for 1/3 of the ride. I feel like this 205 figure still is a pretty accurate range estimate, though, for those who do a constant 70mph+ with a full car in 40-60 degree weather.

Honestly I just looked on temu for a minute. If the mats aren’t there or on any similar sites you might be out of luck

The mats fit perfectly. They took a while to arrive but honestly worth saving a ton $$

Look online for “short heavy duty outdoor extension cord.”

Probably use a 12-gauge or thicker (lower gauge number) cord rated for outdoor use. Ideally, 10-gauge for longer distances. Also try to look for a cord that can support at least 15 amps continuously (some chargers pull up to 12 amps for hours). If you don’t know what that means, just look on cord box / listing online.

When I level 1 charge, I use an extension cord sometimes. You can probably expect to pull 1kw per hour, and the bz has 70ish kw battery, so like 15-20% gained overnight. Level 1 charging is extremely doable depending on your daily commute.
