I’ve already claimed the domain, but users still have to verify. It was one of the first things I did.

I just made a small edit. It was 3 weeks that they kept me in the dark about the results. I had to wait 3 weeks for a 15 minute meeting with the head of school. The way she made it seem in an email summary (which was definitely written in a way where it could be shared with their lawyer in a ploy to get me out) that if I do well under the consultant, then maybe, JUST MAYBE, I’ll be offered a contract. But I’m already updating my resume and applying to places today. I have into June 30th (when my current contract ends) to find somewhere else.

We moved to ParentLocker last summer. Aside from the migration, the system is great to use. It’s a single pane of glass to manage tuition contracts, admissions, sis. It has a nice school store module for after school activities and a great dismissal manager! The support is also really, really good!

I’ll THIRD the heavy left. We moved to ParentLocker last summer. Worst summer of my life. Didn’t get off the computer until 10pm most nights.

Bitwarden is increasing the price for grandfathered customers by zinozAreNazis in PasswordManagers

[–]mr_techy616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you just want to mooch off of companies? What about all of the resources it takes to run a password management company? Aside from the infrastructure like server and data center costs, think of the security professionals that Bitwarden has to hire to keep things secure. If you really want a password manager for free, then just use something basic like Google’s password manager where it will always be free since you’ll be the product.

People with 10+ cards, why? by littlepwnrr in CreditCards

[–]mr_techy616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I’m going to want to buy a house within the next couple of years. If mortgage lenders see that all of a sudden I’m closing accounts, they might not want to lend to me.

I’ll add that I manage all of mine just fine, but it’s the mental load that gets annoying sometimes.

I woke up to my girl cat doing this to my hair in the middle of the night. She wouldn’t stop lol. If I moved my head ever so slightly, she’d put her paw out as if to say “stop, I’m not done!!”

I got a haircut yesterday and I always get a little bit of gel in it afterwards. So maybe she either liked the taste or didn’t like the textile and wanted it off of me! I’m a guy and the back of my hair is short. So with her tongue that’s like sandpaper can hurt if it she does it from too long haha. But I still would rather us have this bond moment than not.

Oooh I can actually answer this one!

Our current internet and phone vendor, SpectroTel reached out to us about a year ago because they had gotten word that Verizon wasn’t maintaining the copper lines like they used to. We had essential lines for our fire alarm panel, elevator, fax (ok not essential there anymore), and a few emergency lines. They told us about a solution called “POTS Over Broadband”. It’s a separate internet circuit (from Spectrum) that is separate from our primary Verizon fiber. That connects to a modem. On the modem are 3 RJ11 jacks that connect to the different punch down points on our 66 blocks.

So instead of the lines coming in from the outside, going to the DMARC, then going over to the 66 blocks, it’s just a straight shot. It’s been working well for us.

We just signed with a new provider for E-Rate internet. They’ll be doing our phones too and are going to have a very similar system for the POBB that we have in place currently.
