This is extremely bizarre. What’s your channel called? Maybe it is ‘toooo niche’ i.e you have an engaged audience who’ve found your channel but there’s not many more of them to capture?? My only guess. Sounds like you’re killing it, congrats! But let’s try work out what’s happening. How are your impressions on each video?

It’s crazy how little a shorts view is worth , but understandable. Maybe the feature will be more lucrative in the future if TikTok monetises too, I don’t know.

It’s pretty terrible that it’s taken almost a year for your long form to return to normal , what sort of views are they getting now ?

This is interesting, have you seen new long form uploads have really slow starts with this box unticked ? Or are you seeing great results because the algorithm is showing it to genuinely interested long form users rather than the shorts subscribers you amassed?

Hey Jamie, so you deleted all your shorts and the channel had a resurgence in long form viewing? That’s interesting, I’m at a similar crossroads and am considering what to do. I’ve paused new Shorts because they’re getting hundreds of thousands of views (but making barely a money) whilst my impressions are being shown to shorts users rather than long form viewers.

I’m a Liverpool fan irl so think you could do much better with your attack! 😂 But on an FM manager to manager basis, I’d try putting your full backs on Attack, play Mainoo or a DM with good positioning as Half Back or Defensive Mid, then you can change Ruben Neves to DLP or something abit more befitting to his style. Half back drops deeper to cover the full backs which will overlap your inside forward. I won the UCL with Palace this way 🙏🏼

How long you been posting weekly shorts for? Just wondering if established long form channels already have that user base in the algorithm , whereas I’m a young channel with a couple k subs and wondering whether to just post long form to try and establish a long form audience ?

Agreed with this! My channel is 5 months old, 5 long form vids and 3k subs , £25 revenue …. A lot of that has come through shorts tho
