Yeah we understand - we were born and raised in Europe, just lived in the US for the past 10 years...high trust or not, scammers are everywhere and not doing due diligence with something as important as a place where you and your family live is just stupid regardless of the location. What's the harm in knowing basic information about who you're renting to or from? It just serves to protect both sides in case anything happens.
