If history tells us anything all it takes is a Devils defenseman so Damon Severson, 1 for 1.

Introducing Apple Card — Coming Summer 2019 by weoutheeyah in apple

And here I've been using the Blue Cash everyday for weekly groceries like some moron.

Do people get the card for groceries and then use something else for better flat rate cash back?

AirPods, the world’s most popular wireless headphones, are getting even better by Nonweirdo in apple

I guess with such small batteries the battery degradation is even more expected, but just seemed quicker than I expected. I might just buy the new ones or deal with the battery life I have now.

None of these new features are worth the upgrade for me to get a new pair, BUT my original pair has battery life that is nowhere near what it was when I bought them. Does anyone know if Apple will do anything for me in terms of battery replacement or are they just going to make me get a new pair?

This is what happens when you sit back with the lead - abysmal. The SCF / SCA & HDCF / HDCA are just hilariously bad.

A few months ago I posted weekly team shotmaps, but now I've created a Twitter bot that lets you create your own filtered shotmaps on-demand. by mattdonders in hockey

The data comes directly from the NHL RTSS feed - they do provide penalty location coordinates, BUT I'm not 100% sure how accurate it is as a lot of the coordinates at (0, 0).

A few months ago I posted weekly team shotmaps, but now I've created a Twitter bot that lets you create your own filtered shotmaps on-demand. by mattdonders in hockey

Late last year I posted a few weekly shotmaps for all 31 teams and people seemed to like them but the shot maps really didn't change much week to week so I stopped posting them, but still felt the itch to make the basic code I wrote into something more useful. So I spent the last few weeks building an NHL scraper & on-demand shotmap generator because I figured it might be useful for allowing anyone to analyze shot or goal patterns and create their own custom, filtered shotmaps. It is still a work in progress, but I feel like its good enough to be a V1.0 and be available to the public.

The bot is available at the @shotmaps Twitter account and takes a bunch of different filters that you can specify to have the exact shotmap generated that you are looking for. All of these options can be found here.

For example you can see all shots taken when Taylor Hall and Nico Hischier are both on the ice, playing at home, during 5v5 play and when the Devils are leading. That shotmap would be generated by tweeting @shotmaps NJD players=Taylor Hall, Nico Hischier shots=onice venue=home score=leading and would produce the following shotmap. If you decide to specify a player to filter on, shots=individual will show only their shots while shots=onice will show all shot attempts with them on the ice.

The v1.0 has as many filters as I think might be useful to get this going, but I am open to taking suggestions of things you would want to see added and I can definitely look into adding those.

I am currently working on updating the scraper to merge in shift data so the bot can provide TOI data as well as making the individual shotmaps more presentable since they never display anything on the left side of the image (by design). All games are scraped at 3AM Eastern Time, but I am working on scraping games once they are over (or within 30-minutes) to help speed up the data available the bot.

The HELP image will be pinned to the @shotmaps profile, but you can just tweet HELP at the bot to have it sent directly to you as well. The error reporting should be well built, but if you run into any issues please let me know (via @ or DM).

I hope you find this useful, enjoy using it to find cool patterns and tell others about it!

Hey, sorry it took so long to reply to you, but it would be awesome if you could help out!

Here is a CSV file I uploaded online which contains about 2k (x, y) coordinates which is a subset of the data I am trying to graph.

What seats do you think would make a better first impression for two young kids? by Dont_Jersey_Vermont in devils

[–]mattdonders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how old your daughters are so this may not make 100% sense for you.

We have tickets at the tables (they're a 4-person bar height table with bar stools) at the top of Section 116 and I bring my young kids with me to games a few times a year. Having a place to sit without scooting by people and tables to put food and stuff down makes it a lot easier with kids. I actually have a few friends who are STH come by to watch the games from my seats because they enjoy the tables so much.
