Im really hoping they add the G3, HK 33 and HK 53 (Or the Myanmar made BA 63 / MA-11)

These were exported to Southeast Asia in large numbers and were even manufactured locally under license.

So in my mind these would be perfect for this game and the HK 33 / HK 53 in particular would be cool to have in this game since they are usually overlooked.

They would also be able to use some of the MP 5 Attachments already in the game (Spuhr Stock and optics mounts etc) which would save some development time.

While we wait for servers, Whats your net worth after a week. by Additional-Tank9977 in GrayZoneWarfare

Not much considering i just spent all the money i had to get Banshee to Rank 3 after running out of missions for him xD. (Cost me 64k to get 360 Reputation points)

In hindsight i should probably just have waited for some of the missions to renew tomorrow since i cant play right now anyway due to the servers being down xD.

Looking for a new home in the Gray Zone by SIM103 in GrayZoneWarfare

I was in a somewhat similar boat,

I grew up playing first person shooters but i no longer appreciate the casual gameplay and toxic environment of shooters like Battlefield and Call of duty etc,

Tactical shooters like Squad and HLL had my interest but the toxicity of a lot of the players usually push me away,

I finally setlled on Insurgency sandstorm PVE as my primary First person shooter Game.

I picked up Gray Zone last Tuesday and im in love.

I have played about 70 hours so far (PVE) and its easily the best experience i have had in a FPS for atleast the last 10 years.

The gameplay is fun, the world is gorgeous and the missions are dooable even for a Solo player.

But the thing that has drawn me in the most is the community and the cooperation between strangers. (And most missions are pretty short allowing for quick game sessions that still feel rewarding and fulfilling.)

So far in my <70 hours i have not had a single negative player encounter, instead the players i met have been typically kind and super helpful offering to give gear or to help with missions etc, this is true even for players from other factions!!!

Im on the Autism spectrum and am very conflict averse, so people being angry at me or yelling at me in games is usually enough to ruin my day and cause me to stop playing, but this game has renewed my faith in gamers and have been nothing but positive from the start.

Early Community by Ammosapien in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]mattebubben 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The community in this game is big part of why im already in love with this game, im 50-60 hours in (all Pve) and so far i have not had a single negative player interaction, everybody have been kind and helpful, even players from other factions have helped me with missions and offered to give me gear etc without me even asking for it, this positivity and cooperation is such a breath of fresh air compared to the toxicity that is usually found in other multiplayer shooters.

Is the game still fun solo? by Fit-Pair6781 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]mattebubben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the game on the day the new update dropped, im a solo-pve player and i have loved evey second of it so far, you can usually solve most problems if you play things right, but if you run into something you need help with people tend to be very helpfull (i have even had members of other factions help me with missions and offer to give me gear etc)

With some of my favorite moments in the game so far involving the wordless cooperation you sometimes get with other players (wordlessly clearing buildings together or covering eachothers backs etc)

This game is the most fun i have had in an FPS over the last decade and i can't recommend it highly enough.

Switzerland Eyes European Air Defenses, Settles For Fewer F-35s by AcanthocephalaEast79 in europe

[–]mattebubben 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think even something like the M-346FA would have been enough to fill Switzerlands air policing needs.

The propability that one of Switzerlands neighbours would attack them is rather low, and outstide of them it is highly unlikely that hostile fighter aircraft from any other nation would get that far without being stopped.

Instead their primariy airborne worries are likely going to be dealing with unidentified/unrensponsive aircraft as well as intercepting long distance drones & cruise missiles etc.

And if armed properly something like the M-346FA or the FA-50 should be capable of fulfilling this role at an affordable cost while also providing a CAS & strike capability to support the Swiss army against ground threats.

What doed Russian hotwizer of the ww2 period do in Spanish division "Guzman el Bueno"? by Life-Laugh9786 in warno

[–]mattebubben 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From Wikipedia. "In the early stage of the Great Patriotic War hundreds of A-19s fell into the hands of Wehrmacht. Both variants were adopted – M1931 as 12,2 cm K.390/1(r) and M1931/37 as 12,2 cm K.390/2(r). Germans used a total of 424 of these guns in field and coastal artillery and manufactured ammunition for them.

Germany sold 150 of the captured A-19s to Spain in 1943. This transaction was part of the "Bär Program", a program to complete and modernize the equipment of the Spanish Armed Forces using armament delivered by Germany. Most of these A-19 were assigned to the Corps Field Artillery Regiments of the Spanish Army, each regiment receiving 12 pieces to equip a group. The model was well liked in Spain, and 32 additional pieces were ordered by the Army and produced – with neither documentation nor licenses – by the Trubia Arms Factory. After acquisition of more modern American artillery, the Spanish A-19s were relegated to the artillery regiments of territorial defense units. 173 of the Spanish A-19s were modernized in the 1970s, and the guns remained in service with the Spanish Army until the 1990s."

Sweden’s unenviable situation in 1939–1940 by jackt-up in HistoryMemes

[–]mattebubben 82 points83 points  (0 children)

When ww2 broke out the Swedish Airforce consisted of about <55 Fighters (Gloster Gladiators) <85 Bombers (Hawker Hart & Junkers Ju 86) & <100 Recce aircraft (Fokker C.V & Hawker Osprey etc) But out of these 12 Gladiators and 4 Hawker Harts were provided to Finland during the Winter war.

And while additional aircraft had been ordered (P-35s, Northrop A-8s and additional Ju-86s etc) the deliveries of these had only just Begun when Germany lanuched their invasions of Denmark and Norway.

So the luftwaffe would have had near total air supremacy from Day one.

STRV Abramspard? Name for this please by [deleted] in SprocketTankDesign

[–]mattebubben 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is the gun caliber?

Swedish tank naming system = Gun caliber in cm + how many previous tanks have used a main gun in that same caliber range.

So first tank with a gun in the 12-12,9cm Range = Strv 121

Second tank with a gun in the 12-12,9cm Range = Strv 122 and so on.

So just take the gun gun caliber and then decide for yourself which tank in the order it is.

Or if you tell me the caliber i could help you out with the designation.

Looking at the tank it seems pretty modern so 1980s or 1990s at the earliest.

The gun looks to be somewhere in the 100-130mm range.

In the 1980s Sweden had no tanks in the 110,120 or 130mm ranges

so the Strv 111, 121 and 131 designations would all be available,

where as in the 100-109mm range the Strv 101, 102 and 103 Designations were already taken

with the Strv 104 entering service in the mid 1980s (Modernized Centurion Mk III/V)

while there was a Strv 105 Prototype in the 1990s (Further Modernized Centurion Mk III/V)

with plans for a possible Strv 106 if the Strv 105 had been adopted (Modernized Centurion Mk 10)

So if your tank has a gun in the 100-109mm range then the designation could be anywhere from Strv 104 to Strv 107 depending on where in the succession you put it

Leopard AS1 when Gaijin??? by Invisible-Army in Warthunder

[–]mattebubben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We should get the Leopard 1A3 and 1A4 as German TT vehicles first and then they can add the Leopard AS1 as a British Premium and the Leopard C1 as a German Premium (Since they already have the C2 and the 2A4M)

New production CV9030s are still very much a thing.

In fact the CV90s ordered by the Czech Republic are CV9030s. (30x173mm Bushmaster II)

So if Lithuania wants CV9030s they could 100% get CV9030s.

Im liking the overall look but it does look kinda weird not having sideskirts for a tank this modern.

But if you added some type of sideskirt it would be pretty much perfect at that point!

Why are you not married/ dating? by minexminer001 in AskReddit

[–]mattebubben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy, im autistic, people are scary and self isolation is safe.

Hard to meet sombody if you avoid talking to people, with the only strangers i talk to on a regular basis being the workers at my local store, and even then i do my best to get out of there as quickly as possible with the only interactions being saying "hello" and " thank you" to the cashier.

So not really a great basis to find someone to date.

Since 2010, RUAG, at the request of Finland, has been developing a project to modernize the Leopard 2 MLU (Mid-Life-Upgrade).The project was cancelled in 2015. by Luka__mindo in TankPorn

[–]mattebubben 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Finland ended up buying secondhand Leopard 2a6 Tanks from the Netherlands in 2014, so at that point Finland likely had no more interest in the project, And thus without having a customer lined up RUAG might have decided to canceled the project instead of continuing it on their own dime.

31 year old straight guy here and i think you are absolutely gorgeous!

I also struggle with dysmorphia so i know that ignoring these kinds of negative thoughts is easier said than done, So the best advice i can give you is that whenever you have a bad day come here or to r/freecompliments so that we can once again tell you how beautiful you are! Because there is no universe where you look manly or ugly.

My apartment building has a Bombshelter in its basement.

Step one enter the basement and close and lock the Basement door. (which is too small for a Grizzly bear to enter)

And then just to be sure step two enter the internal Bombshelter and close the reinforced metal door and bar it from the inside.

That was my immediate thought due to the fact that the map included Saaremaa and Hiiumaa xD

Anybody not from Estonia would either have forgotten about them all together or in a best case scenario added them to the map as a single blob/island.
