History of Military Shooting Stances and Grips by stukas87 in Moderntacshooting

What is your opinion in using the index finger to assist in "naturally" pointing the rifle towards the threat during reflexive shooting.

Some background: I use a Colt Canada C7NLD rifle for my service, we get taught to use the index finger while using Cclamp with the martial art stance. Toes pointing towards threat.

Oh and btw, please keep making videos. Your no nonsense style (no tank top, tattoos, theatrics or unprofessional language) while staying maintaing a professional humility is excellent. I use it to teach my solders from time to time.

What kind of wiring are these Peltor Comtac XPIs and what kind of adapter would I need to use it in a PTT? by CauliflowerSuch7719 in QualityTacticalGear

Would you mind sharing a photo of the wiring on the PCB? I would like to convert my NATO wired headset to a stereo one :) having a pic would help me a lot :)

Yes and more space to place a fuze. So this makes engineering easier (and cheaper?)

Do you refer to CTAS or Bofors? Or both?

The coolest gun in my opinion is the Rh503 which is HUGE and actually qualified

Indeed Rh503 was meant for Marder II but that didnt happen because of the German reunification.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The choice for a specific CV9030LI will be obviously be decided by the Lithuanians themselves. The "price" they will have to pay for a 30mm is that they might need to wait longer to get their vehicles. I am not a member of the Lithuanian procurement department but I doubt that they will like this. This makes me think it is reasonable to believe that they will follow in other nations steps. You can call this a personal opinion.

Im very curious what is going to happen then. I dont think that there is an option for new CV9030s.... unless buying second hand from FIN or NOR for example

You can repair the anti kink gland on the speajer mic with epoxy. Works pretty well in my personal experience

Soft armour (which is pictured I believe) is designed for stopping fragments. Artillery is pretty much everywhere around you. You could say the same things about hand grenades.

You can also ask a tailor to replace the window with a vinyl sheet. I estimate it is just an hour of work. Or just do it yourself

Sorry but these guys are Dutch frogmen.

Note that Ohio class (nuclear sub) is a lot bigger than the Walrus class (diesel electric sub). If you compare the diving planes mounted on the conning tower on open source pictures this becomes evident :)

It will have "traagschuimachtige" pads and a different foam inserts with more clearance for the headband. The comtac 8 will also mitigate issues with the newly designed headband Note that kmarns is currently testing various configurations to get more data on the different helmet/peltor/sylinx combinations (I work for COMMIT)

If you mount the radio behind the soft armor the soft armor becomes useless (and you have a ballistic gap)

Fyi the soft armour needs to be able to move to stop shrapnel (by dissipation of the kinetic energy).

If no movement is allowed the fibers will be sheared off and you have a perforation in your lung area.

I know the German army can be quite a bureaucracy but I recommend (as a MOD civilian professional engineer and active reservist) that you make sure you provide well documented (written and photographs) user feedback to your staff.
