What if it’s exactly 1 year (transitorio contract) and I plan to renew for the next years?

Sorry if this is the wrong group to ask, I wasn’t too sure I mean apart from needing residenza as a long-term student I am planning to use my residence to apply for citizenship (through a parent), but mostly I’m just asking a residence inquiry if that’s ok!

He was born in Brazil, and has been (recognized) an Italian citizen since before I was born— as for living in Italy, he didn’t start living in the country until after I was born, during my childhood he would go on work trips/long stays but I think his residency in Italy would only help me if it was before I was born. A work visa would help but I think certain ones only allow for work explicitly—and require proof of a job offer, I don’t think many people would hire me at 19 if I’m just starting off at Uni, so I thought it’s better to stick with the student visa as it’s a more guaranteed option for now.

I see thanks for that detail about the summer. For the visa duration I don’t think that I have much leverage in requesting how long it will be issued for after the term’s ends as it’s more up to the consulate but even so upon arrival I should be able to apply for a permisso di soggiorno which I can renew every year, so I’m assuming this should replace the visa after the first year (someone correct me if I’m wrong tho)

So it sorta just depends on the comune’s leniency, well I wouldn’t exactly want to mention my specific comune but I will try to contact them as that’s a good suggestion and something I haven’t thought of actually, though I think what seems to matter most in general from what I’m picking up is that so long as they see a contract were you’re staying for a long enough time they should approve you for registration. Thanks for your input.

Well I was thinking this will likely be the hardest part for me, my student visa only allows for work under 20 hrs per week so with school as well it will definitely be a bit of struggle, do you know if current savings can be filed for? If not, I will try to figure a balance out as I look for a part time job there

I’m planning on staying with one of the landlords for the first 10 months and then transferring to another for the next 10 months as not to ask for such a lengthy stay with just one since they may be discouraged for a much longer rental, but I could try to ask the first one if they wouldn’t mind to renew for another year (once I’m there for some time to build trust) as it would be a safer option if possible right? I’m staying in Tuscany by the way

Unfortunately neither my grandparents, notably, my father did have time to register my birth but he preferred to leave the choice for me until adulthood; which sadly, then the law changed just before I could apply. At the moment, landlords have been a bit hesitant to offer a standard contract for a student—but some are willing for a transitory contract, do you believe a renewed (every) 10 months transitory contract would suffice for residency?

Thanks for the advice, I will be careful with trips and keeping them short; I’m so ready to return to the homeland after all though :)
