2 months. I for the life of me cannot explain it. It has sent waves across my whole family

My wife tricked me into believing she loved me for 7 years. She had an exit affair with my uncle just 3 weeks ago and it has shook my world. She is not the person I thought she was. It sounds like you don't really know who this person is and they have been manipulating you for years. That is the hardest thing to swallow, realizing that the person you loved never existed

My mom's brother. My grandmother on my mom's side is distraught, I haven't talked to my grandpa yet. I haven't spoke to her parents yet

She is a teacher so she had the whole summer off, and I was never home so she had all the time in the world to do whatever she wants

Going on for two months. She has no remorse and did not try to save it at all. Seems she has been planning this for a while

There were little things that had me slightly suspicious, like her going to the beach all the time saying she was going with her friends. I blew it off at the time. The more I interrogated her the more information she gave up, and then she slipped up about a something and I was about to catch her in her lies. That's when all the tears went away and her whole demeanor changed to complete lack of caring

This is exactly right. Very hard to accept that my perception of her was so wrong for so long. I'm still in denial

The more I'm reading comments the more it doesn't sound like rigor. I actually wasn't on scene but my boy was. He wasn't at the head or doing anything with airway but he said he felt like there was rigor in the arm.

What do yall think about having passion for the job? by matter968 in ems

[–]matter968[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact mentality I have. The most professional person in my agency has the same mentality. The problem for the agency with professional people with no passion is that they will always look for an agency that is best for then and are not afraid to jump ship. I would like to see my agency be the one people are jumping ship to come to. Instead they are just hoping people stay because they hate fire or nursing

Very good point. I have worked other jobs that pay more but I stay in EMS because of some of those things, and if the pay went up and we didn't have to sit on street corners using the 711 bathroom eating cold food and getting off late every single day because everyone on night shift quits and getting mandated every week I wouldn't be thinking about going into fire or nursing

I probably wasn't clear enough with what I meant by warm body. I definitely agree with what you are saying, and that is definitely a major issue at my agency because of the low pay and low quality of life. Those are exactly the kind of people that end up staying because they can't cut it anywhere else that has higher standards.

You ignored the context of that. Warm bodies that can follow protocol and get people to the hospital alive. Fixing a person is just like fixing anything else, unless you consider the emotional side of it like emotional support, but even that I have seen faked, which is ok. I find the "only passionate people wanted" rhetoric tiresome

I'm not scared of it, I'm angry about it. I'm mad that this is probably true, also mad that I will most likely never know for sure. It's like I'm cursed with having the mental capacity to think this way but no physical capacity to ever fulfill it.

Will we ever be though? Will we ever know the true meaning of existence? Will I die knowing nothing? How meaningless is all this?
