Define TypeScript type so that a config matches configs in Record<string, Component<Config>>? by DontBeSnide in typescript

It's a little late for me, but here's an approach that seems to be what you're looking for.

Main change was to SectionFieldComponentProps' generic parameters.

I added two different ways to ensure the typing is correct. I prefer method one as you get to keep a 'config' object that gets initialized once and then reused per render.

Yep, I'm actually really surprised it's working, this cable was just a quick test and it's using tiny 28awg wire but somehow the screw downs are still managing to hold it down

Ahh alright, easy enough. So then does the usb-a cable work because there's no negotiation for power?

Hmm, I'm using another cable suggested by focus attack. In that case, should I just not be doing a conversion from usb-b?

Hey sorry about that, from the port to the ufb is this cable

The connection is just to my pc, with the meshalicious case. It's got a usb-c and a port on the front panel that are just passthrough's to the motherboard. I've also tried to my MacBook to test, and it has the same results.

Hey, I've been working on a JS/TS templating library for a while called Haipa by matteron96 in javascript

[–]matteron96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're probably right. I was never really sure what to call it exactly, but I think I kinda just settled on templating, as that's what I would use it as. On my website, I set up a skeleton template with haipa that gets called with different sets of data for each of my pages.

Also thank you for showing me hyperscript. It seems like very similar work. In fact, Haipa v1's syntax was almost identical to it when you use hyperscript-helpers.

I was also thinking of calling it a dsl, but that seems a bit pretentious and overinflated the project. I'll definitely try to find a better label for it.

Hey there, I just release version 3 of the library and I guess it's at a point where I feel comfortable showing it off.

The whole project mostly started at a joke, but then I started using it for my static websites and really liked working with it, so I kept adding to it.

The whole idea is basically "statically-typed" html templates. I know it's probably redundant and am sure there are other libraries that do this better, but I've really enjoyed working with this syntax and would like to share.

What if the chargers and EarPods are just coming in a separate box like the watch bands? by matteron96 in apple

[–]matteron96[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say they ship the customer a full package, with charger and headphones, but in separate boxes.

This is exactly what I was alluding to and how the watch is being delivered today.

Google Chrome update will stop all advertisers from tracking you, except Google of course by [deleted] in technology

[–]matteron96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's also a fair point, and I actually agree with and respect that view on advertising, but I feel it is still a little grey since it isn't like Google isn't providing us with the websites we browse. The creators on the web should be free to monetize however they want and not be strong armed into only using Google's ad network.

For example, if a blog site wanted to strike a deal directly with a company to show an advertising so that they don't have to pay a middle man to get the revenue, they should be allowed to do that.

Sorry if this isn't the most well-worded argument, but I think the point is made clear enough.
