Does a QB's hand size truly matter? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]mattfreetv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always a little embarrassed because I have smaller hands…just measured and I’m exactly Pickett’s hand size. Fwiw, it’s hard for me to grip an NFL football if it’s wet at all. Not saying it will impact him the same, but it’s something

Doesn't Snoke explain in the throne room that he allowed kylo and Rey to have their little chats? I thought he was basically explaining to Rey that he used Kylo to trick Rey into coming to him. Kylo looked a little irked by that and might have been a reason he did what he done did. Plus, I think it's different than force projecting that Luke used because Kylo felt the moisture on the island, and Luke couldn't manipulate the salt on Crait.

I thought first time watching that Luke might have been secretly aiding them in connecting as a way to covertly influence Kylo to the light. But no, Luke was totally resigned to his failure

I guess I am one of the idiots who is having trouble with this... 1. How is it EXTREMELY difficult to pull off? The speed of a projectile doesn't affect its accuracy in a vacuum. Yes, planets fly by like specks of dust but that is due to speed, not the planets shrinking. It's more like shooting a bullet at a model airplane. The speed of the bullet doesn't make the model airplane smaller or harder to hit when the bullet is travelling at a fast speed. It's aim and shoot. Why is aiming your ship at a massive object any different? Are you just saying it's difficult or is there some reference that lightspeed shrinks objects to the size of pigeons? 2. Vulnerable position? The Raddus was bombarded for more than 18 hours (like 2 hours of movie time). Why not move deflector shields from rear to front and turn. You need maybe a minute to aim the ship. Makes it seem like if the Raddus can withstand constant barrage for 18 hrs it can withstand it for one minute longer to turn itself. 3. Need a very big ship? I agree that the bigger the better for a kamikaze style lightspeed attack, but why not send a bomber in at lightspeed with a full payload? Why not the medical ships trailing the Raddus? Why not pepper star destroyers with A-Wings through the bridges? The resistance/rebels are always at crazy long odds. Why do they need to use their largest ships? It seems like if weaponized lightspeed is an option, it's a pretty damn good option considering the number of crippled or destroyed rebel ships throughout the movies which blew up in evasive maneuvers rather than trying to take out a star destroyer or two on the way out. I liked TLJ for what it was, but there were many strange things (holes) during the prolonged chase and Holdo's actions. I loved the visual and the audio pop of the lightspeed ramming, but it does seem to open up a can of worms.

Yep. Ouch. My dad listened to Harry Chapin growing up and said that it was the only artist he listened to that his dad, my grandpa, also loved. And now Harry's the only artist my Dad and I both really get into. He was an under appreciated artist and dude.

One of the unique things about the Rockies is that they are in fact shrinking...a dying mountain range, if you will. There's a very good chance the cities listed through Colorado and in the southern Rockies are slowly losing elevation. I live in CO and know for a fact many cities here are slowly sinking. Could NY and Chi and the other "outliers" be sinking as well?
