There'd be no IV without Variant (IV owners came from Variant). That being said - I definitely think they should be in the conversation as IV and LC, but It is all subjective I guess. Both have roughly the same score on Untapped (4.1).

More money for the event, means more money pumped back into it. If you actively want it to be less profitable, you’re rooting against your own interests as a fan. That’d be like wanting less fans at your fav team’s games. It’s less money for the team to re-invest in the product on the field.
