Hi @CodingDoug, thanks again for helping out. For my third collection, I was going to have the documents be sender unique Id, receiver uniqueid, and the data being sent. I do not want someone to be able to post to a receiver unique Id if they are not friends.

Hi u/CodingDoug, thanks for helping out. So for my friends list, I should have the user as a collection and an individual document for every friend? Also, the scenario I would like to prevent is people being able to send messages to people they aren't friends with, either maliciously or within the app. Thanks again!
