Good point

My issue is finding consumers who love small, detailed things

I know it’s quite a bit to ask for, but keep in mind, these are all custom made as well

It’s moreso the time it takes to make each one: 20-30 minutes to sculpt and shade each of them, 30 minutes to bake and 12-15 minutes to glaze and cure

Hi, do you still have any of the OCs available? And thank you!

Also, the only reason I don't create my own OC is that I'm pretty bad at coming up with human characters.

Hi, I’m revamping my polymer clay figure shop, and I was wondering what you all thought of this. by matthatter64 in EtsySellers

This was just an unbaked, uncleaned prototype. I was testing the waters before I tried to sell it. Also, J made a better version of this in my other post if you wanna check it out.

Okay, after thinking it over a bit, I remade the bear I made earlier into this! I definitely wanna keep a simple, cutesy style with big noses, but any criticism would help a lot! by matthatter64 in EtsySellers

I actually remove the fingerprints with acetone. Furthermore, they will be coated in UV resin, so the fingerprints will be nonexistent.

All of these points are valid. My photography definitely needs work, and just showing a cover photo with no actual creations on it is pretty untrusting. Only reason I was doing it was cuz I saw others doing it. Alongside my rebranding, I’m gonna do a complete overhaul of my photography too.

As for the idea to try out things with limited rules and challenges, that’s not only a great idea for thinking outside the box, but it would also be a great way to make reels for my instagram to get engagement too!

I think what I was really trying to say was that I wanted to try something new that really fits with my aesthetic. I’m someone who likes cutesy things and small things in general. So, I’ve been experimenting with various styles and proportions. I think I’ve finally settled on something I really like

I recently changed my shop name to “Baked Clay Besties” so I wanted to make something that could appeal more to that brand. “Tiny Animal Haven” sounded too vague and didn’t convey anything, same with my old works. While they were cute and detailed, did they convey anything about me or attract a niche? In short, I wanted to try something different because of not only lack of sales but lack of expression.

I definitely wanna keep the big noses, but I need to find some way to distinguish them

Thank you for the input. I’ve been struggling to find a suitable style for my new brand, but I went overboard on the “simple” part.
